A true slugger is Vicente Luque. Never one to turn down a brawl, his strategy usually consists of beating his opponent to a pulp. Luque has ten knockouts, six submissions and 2 decisions on his pro resume. Luque is as exciting a fighter as you’ll ever see, No matter who he fights, he always bring everything he’s got and even turns a fight against Stephen Thompson into a barn burner.
Luque is 28-years of age and has a bright future ahead of him in the welterweight division. He has never been finished by strikes.
Randy Brown joined the UFC in 2016 and won his debut against Matt Dwyer. Brown’s career has had it’s ups and downs, but he now finds himself on a two-fight win streak heading into a fight with Vicente Luque. This is his big chance. Brown is 6-3 in the UFC.

Both fighters can handle themselves on the feet, but Luque takes aggression and power punching to a whole other level. At the same time, Luque is actually decent at boxing technically, keeping his hands up and defending himself quite well. This might be why we’ve never seen him get knocked out in his MMA career. Brown, on the other hand, wants to fight a technical fight here, and does not want to engage in slugfest with Luque. Brown will probably look for takedowns in the early rounds, but Luque will have him overwhelmed by the end of round three. I think Luque gets it done here, with sheer violence and non-stop aggression.
Winner: Vicente Luque gets it done in 3.
I think we’ve got some early bird value on Vicente Luque here. He keeps this fight on the feet and out strikes Brown 7 out of 10 times which is enough to get a small margin over the bookies. I do think some money will come in on Luque in a week’s time, since he’s the fan favourite, whereas Brown is pretty unknown.
