Arizona Diamondbacks vs Texas Rangers Same Game Parlay, Opta Stats, Player Props

The Arizona Diamondbacks and Texas Rangers switch venues for Games 3, 4, and 5, as we head to the desert with a 1 – 1 deadlock in the World Series. We do hope you caught Ej’s Game 1 predictions as he went 4 – 0 with his four calls that helped our readers cash a 4.40 same-game parlay ticket!

After Texas won Game 1 in 11 innings with a blast from Adolis Garcia, the Diamondbacks responded with a resounding 9 – 1 thumping of the Rangers to level the series on Saturday night. While the ratings for this year’s World Series are down, it hasn’t taken away from the excitement level in Texas and Arizona.

What does Ej have in store to follow up his big win in Game 1? Let’s hit the field and see what he’s got to offer for Monday night’s Game 3 at Expert Insights.

Same Game Parlay Odds: 3.40

ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS VS TEXAS RANGERS SAME GAME PARLAY: WORLD SERIES LEVEL AT 1 – 1

D’BACKS TO WIN GAME 3 AT HOME

The line setters have given up on laying favourites in the post-season, as we have an even line for Game 3 of the World Series on Monday night in the desert. Depending on your bookmaker, I am seeing 2.00 for Texas and 2.00 for Arizona, so we don’t get a chance to bet on the underdog this time around.

I am okay with that because I was taking Arizona to win this game no matter what line I got, and now I have an even money offer on the table. Arizona covered my +1.5 in Game 1, and if I am being honest I played the Over 9 for Game 2 and just snuck that in with the 9 – 1 result.

This game might be a low-scoring affair, as Max Scherzer and Brandon Pfaadt are listed as the Game 3 probable starting pitchers. Scherzer ended up with a no-decision in his last start against Houston, although the Rangers blew away the Astros picking up the win, 11 – 4, in the clinching Game 7 of the ALCS in Houston.

Scherzer didn’t look as impressive in his first start of the post-season against Houston, but now he has a couple of outings under his belt after being left off the Rangers’ roster for both the Wildcard and Division series. I think we all know that when Max is right he is considered an ace on any staff, but let’s take note of his post-season stats. Outside of that 3 – 0 when he was winning the World Series with Washington, Scherzer has been a clutts in the MLB playoffs over his career. With 22 post-season starts, Scherzer has a total of 7 wins, almost half of them coming in that 2019 season.

Brandon Pfaadt has been an outstanding addition to the Diamondbacks roster, and let’s not forget that he is a rookie in this league. Although he does tend to give up the long ball (22 HR allowed in 18 regular season starts), he has pitched 16 ⅔ innings in the postseason and allowed two of them.

Pfaadt may not be picking up any wins in his first career postseason, but if you hadn’t noticed the Diamondbacks are a perfect 4 – 0 when he makes an appearance in a playoff game. He only hurled 2 ⅔ innings against Milwaukee in the Wild Card round, but Arizona didn’t need him to do much as they swept Milwaukee right out of the playoffs.

I have Arizona winning this game behind another solid effort from Pfaadt, and I will again include a pair of players from Arizona to pick up hits in Game 3 to boost our same-game parlay odds to 3.40.

A PAIR OF PLAYER PROPS FOR MONDAY NIGHT

Along with the Moneyline offer with Arizona, the top two guys in this Diamondbacks lineup are doing plenty of damage in the post-season and the World Series as well.

Ketel Marte has managed to pick up at least one hit in his last 18 playoff games overall, and after batting second in the order in Game 1 he and Corbin Carroll switched roles for Game 2. after Carroll led off Game 1. Carroll is only 23 years old, and as we all know he took home the NL Rookie of the Year Award becoming only the second player from Arizona to do so.

Carroll has 16 hits from 54 AB in the post-season, and Marte has found 21 hits from his 63 plate appearances in the playoffs. I expect both of them to be 1-2 in the Diamondbacks order again, and I don’t care which of them leads off or bats second. Neither do they! Just put me in coach, and I’ll do the rest!

Add Marte and Carroll to your same-game parlay, and enjoy Game 3 of the 2023 World Series on Monday night. I will be back tomorrow for my Game 4 predictions, so stay tuned…
