Philadelphia Phillies vs Arizona Diamondbacks Same Game Parlay, Opta Stats, Player Props

After the ALCS was stretched to a 7-game limit, the NLCS will also face a Game 7 to decide whether the Phillies or Diamondbacks will go on to play in the 2023 World Series! As 2.75 underdogs on Monday night in Philadelphia, the Snakes became yet another team to pull an upset in the 2023 MLB Playoffs.

The underdogs have been barking like wild hounds in this year’s postseason, and now we have ourselves another Game 7 in the Championship Series.

Ranger Suarez and Brandon Plaadt get the assignment of toeing the slab for this one-and-done affair where one team will move on to face the Texas Rangers in the World Series, and the other will be watching it at home like the rest of us.

Same Game Parlay Odds: 4.25

Odds via Bet365 as of 8:00 am on October 24, 2023. Odds may now differ.

PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES VS ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS SAME GAME PARLAY: NLCS GAME 7 IN PHILLY

SNAKES PLAYING THE UNDERDOG ROLE FOR GAME 7

First of all, I apologize for not thinking underdog for my ALCS Game 7 prediction, as the Texas Rangers smashed the Astros out of the postseason in emphatic fashion. I honestly regret not sticking to my guns when it comes to the value in underdogs this MLB Playoff season.

Regardless, this gives me another opportunity to ride the dog to the World Series, as the Phillies are considerable favourites as they were to win Game 6 on Monday night. How did that work out for them? We’re here, aren’t we?

That answers that question, so now Brandon Plaadt will be looking to repeat the effort he gave the Snakes in Game 3 of this NLCS. The Phillies won the first two games of the NLCS at home, and Plaadt had the pressure of knowing a loss would have essentially finished them there and then had they gone down 0 – 3.

So, I am seeing a lovely 2.45 offer from Bet365 as I write this up late on Monday here in New York, I just got done watching Houston choke and I waited for that game to finish so I knew which team would be waiting for the winner of this Game 7 of the NLCS.

Merrill Kelly and the Snakes bullpen kept the top of the Phillies batting order in check, as no hits were found from the bats of Schwarber, Turner, or Harper in Game 6. Plaadt struck out 9 Philly batters in his Game 3 start back in Arizona hurling 5 ⅔ scoreless innings. He will have to match that performance for us to cash this lovely ticket of 4.25 for this same-game parlay that includes the total.

RUNS WILL BE SCORED IN THIS DECIDING GAME

I have the 2.45 Arizona Moneyline and the Over 8.5 is listed at 1.95 to create this combo, and the 4.25 return sure strikes me as worth the shot.

With nerves being a factor early in this all-important deciding game of the NLCS, I don’t expect a lot of scoring to happen right away. Pinnacle has the Over 8 at 1.87, and that would be great to have that hook in our favour. We never do get that option with parlays, however, and that does set the challenge up a bit more. The Arizona Moneyline play has plenty of value on its own too, let’s make no mistake about that.

I don’t think these two pitchers will hold up past the 5th inning and the third time around the order will see bats start to come alive. Hey, I would love for them to go out bashing the ball all over the field nice and early, and we’ll take that if it happens too!

Anyway, play the combo to get the nice price of 4.25, and think dog… Again!
