The Boston Celtics are looking to close out the series against the Miami Heat at TD Garden tonight at 01:30 (UK Time). It’s been a very competitive series so far, but the Celtics now have a 3-2 lead and the perfect opportunity to reach the NBA finals in front of home fans. Have a look at my Bet Builder Tips & Betting analysis in the article below.

The Boston Celtics are in a perfect position to finally put this series to an end after going up 3-2 in Miami two days ago. It was a 93-80 game on Wednesday night in favour of Ime Udoka’s boys, as Brown finished with 25 points, Tatum with 22 and Al Horford pitched in with a cool 16 and 5 game. The Celtics have been by far the better team in this series and the bookmakers have them as heavy favourites to win tonight at 1.23 odds.

The Celtics have averaged 106.2 points per game throughout this series on a field goal percentage of 54.3% and almost 31 free-throw attempts per game. They haven’t exactly been on fire offensively, but their defence has managed to shut down the Miami Heat entirely in the last 2 games, and they are now in a position to close out the series in front of home fans. Jayson Tatum has been struggling to hit his shots, especially from beyond the arc, but their offence as a whole has stayed afloat.

The Miami Heat are facing elimination after a terrible performance in their last 2 games where they only scored 82 and 80 points respectively. They had a perfect opportunity to take the lead in the series in front of home fans, but shooting 31.9% from the field and 15.6% from downtown was never going to be enough. Jimmy Butler finished the game with just 13 points shooting 4-18 from the field, whilst Bam Adebayo was their top scorer with 18 points.

The Miami Heat have been struggling to get going throughout this series, averaging just 98.2 points per game with a field goal percentage of just 46.6%. Spacing has been their biggest issue partially due to a lack of shooters on their team, but mostly due to their half-court sets. Spoelstra has done a poor job spacing the floor in the last two games and paired with the Celtics’ elite defensive effort, this is a recipe for disaster.

The first 3 games of this series were fairly high-scoring, but as the series has developed, we have seen a very low number of points. Both teams have played excellent defence so far in the series, especially in the last 2 games, and it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing another high-scoring affair.

As stated above, the Miami Heat have struggled to find the basket in this series, and there are have been no signs of improvement last time around. Their spacing issues are caused largely by a lack of personnel, as the Heat have a lot of players who can’t make three-pointers consistently enough. They will be playing on the road against an elite defensive team, and I don’t think they will be able to bounce back tonight.

Jimmy Butler started off the series in spectacular manner, going for 41 points in Game 1, but he has since cooled down. A knee injury paired with the Celtics’ smothering defence are causing Jimmy to average 19.4 points per game. He is shooting just 16.7% from beyond the arc, and his field goal percentage is at just 42.9%. He had just 13 points last game in 40 minutes of action, and I don’t expect him to bounce back tonight.

Al Horford has averaged just 2.2 three-point attempts per game, making just 1.4 per game. Shooting the three-ball hasn’t been his main task against the Heat, as Ime Udoka has counted on him more for defence and rebounding. Don’t expect big Al to chuck up a lot of threes tonight either. The 1.5 threes line is set too high in my opinion, and I have no problem backing the under here.
