Thursday evening program in the NBA brings us a clash of two teams competing for the play-in spots in the East. Lakers, who are sitting at 25W 29L are hosting the 25W 28L Thunder team in Crypto Arena.
In this article:
Wed, Feb 8th. 3:00 (UK time)
The Lakers are the most underperforming team in the league. But they will have a healthy A. Davis tonight and we are expecting them to finally show us that offensive potential in front of their home crowd. L. James is having a solid year so far but his supporting cast is lacking efficiency and aggressiveness.
The Lakers are scoring 117.5 PPG which is solid, but the most important thing for our tip is their transition and fastbreak offence where they are scoring almost 17 PPG. Their biggest problem is their defence as they are letting their opponents score almost 119 PPG with 52% effective shooting. This gives us a solid foundation for our bet which is Over on ntotal points tonight if the Thunder are even close to their recent performances. The Lakers will be missing S. Pippen Jr with a concussion while L. James remains “questionable” but is expected to play (Played in 75% of Questionable games).
The young Thunder team is currently battling for the last play-in spot as well. Although they have been battling with a lot of injury problems they stayed on the right track and are trying to claim the last spot, just like their rival for tonight. We are expecting them to be on top of their offensive game against the weak Lakers’ defence. The Thunder are scoring a high amount of points but inconsistently. They had games with 140+ points and we are expecting one of those tonight as well. Accumulatively, they are scoring a solid 117 PPG with 53% shooting efficiency.
For tonight they will be missing A. Pokusevski (foot injury), C. Holmgren (leg injury), and L. Dort (Hamstring injury) while J. Robinson remains “questionable”.
The Thunder have managed to play games that went over the 236.5 line 3 out of the last 4 times they played. The Lakers need to start winning and they need to do it through their offence. The healthy A. Davis and L. James will help us get through the finish line tonight and we are expecting them both to play.
Odds as of 1:00 pm February 7th, 2023. Odds may now differ.
