Memphis Grizzlies vs Phoenix Suns Best Bet: Tuesday, December 27th

The fight for the top of the Western Conference will continue tonight as the Memphis Grizzlies will host the Phoenix Suns at FedEx Center. The Grizzlies are young and hungry, already showing great results whilst the Suns have been showing signs of slowing down without their primary weapon Devin Booker.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Phoenix Suns Preview

Wed, Dec 28th. 00:00m (UK time)

The Grizzlies have been great on their home court this season, winning 9 out of their 10 games at FedEx Center. Taking into regard away games as well, they have managed to win 20 out of the first 32 games for a percentage of 0.625 which is enough for the 3rd spot in the Western Conference standings. Their main force is Ja Morant, averaging MVP numbers this season with 27 points and 9 dishes on a nightly basis. Overall the Grizzlies have a very strong backcourt and solid frontcourt and can balance the output which has landed them so much success recently.

On the defensive aspect, they are 4th in the league in defensive rating with 109.2 whilst being 5th in net rating with 5.2. S. Adams who has always been a brute force below the basket has helped the Grizzlies establish a very strong rebounding approach, and they are topping the league in rebounds with almost 50 a night. The Grizzlies will not be missing any key players for tonight.

The Suns have been playing very inconsistently. Most of it can be connected to the extreme injury issues they had since they have been missing key players since the start of the season on a nightly basis. They have lost their last 3 games, and they are one of the worst teams in the league in their losing stretches.

Without D. Booker they are the 22nd offensive team in the league which is very far from their standards. Besides their main scorer (D. Booker 28 PPG), they will also be missing C. Johnson with an ankle injury and C. Payne with a knee injury.

The moneyline opened at 1.55 on the Grizzlies but has shifted closer to 1.4 since this morning. The young Grizzlies are famous for blowing out the opposition and they have covered the spread at home in 78.6% of their games this season. Tonight against the weakened Suns we believe it will be the case as well.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Phoenix Suns Best Bet

The Grizzlies have won the last 3 games against the Suns with an average margin of 11.5 points. Tonight, with all the injury issues and the Grizzlies’ momentum we believe they will be able to cover the handicap and stay in the race for the first spot in the Western Conference. We are taking the Grizzlies at -7.5 and hoping for a blowout.
