WASHINGTON WIZARDS VS MILWAUKEE BUCKS
Tue, Nov 21. 01:10 (UK time)
After a slow start, the Milwaukee Bucks have won four games in a row. They have climbed to 11th in net rating, with the offence looking as expected with Damian Lillard finding some rhythm as a scorer and playmaker. The defence is still not great, but they have more than enough firepower to compensate.
Washington has lost five on the bounce to fall to a league-worst 2-10. They are subpar at both ends of the floor, and were hammered by the Knicks only a couple of nights ago.
There’s understandably some hesitation when backing a team with such a big number in their favour, but we like what we’ve seen from the Bucks lately and this Wizards team is heading for a historically poor campaign.
CHICAGO BULLS VS MIAMI HEAT
Tue, Nov 21. 01:10 (UK time)
Miami’s five-point loss to the Bulls on Saturday contributes to the Heat only being narrow favourites here. While the Heat’s seven-game winning streak was brought to an abrupt end, there should be no question they are the superior of these two teams, even with Tyler Herro sidelined.
Chicago are 22nd in net rating and 21st in shot quality. A teardown is inevitable at some point before the trade deadline, with Zach LaVine reportedly available. Sitting at just 5-9 on the season, it would be a real surprise for the Bulls to beat this fiercely competitive Heat team twice in a row.
We think Miami will make it eight wins out of nine on Monday night. You could take the spread for a marginally longer price, but we think the moneyline is a better option in a parlay.
NEW ORLEANS PELICANS VS SACRAMENTO KINGS
Tue, Nov 21. 01:10 (UK time)
Just four teams have a better-adjusted shot quality than the 8-4 Sacramento Kings. Sacramento has won six in a row and has a 6-1 record in games that De’Aaron Fox is available for. They are +10 per 100 possessions with Fox on the court.
New Orleans are a middling team by most metrics, but they have flashed their upside of late with wins over the Mavericks and Nuggets and a narrow loss to the Timberwolves. Perhaps this is a team turning a corner, or perhaps it is just the result of their raw talent. Still, the Pels are searching for an identity, while the Kings know exactly who they are.
With two teams keen to run and two poor defences, this should be a high-scoring game, but a total in the high 230s is hard to take the over on. We love what we’ve seen from the Kings since Fox’s return.
