The Philadelphia 76ers and Toronto Raptors matchup on Tuesday April, 26th at 01:00 (UK time) for Game 5 of their Eastern Conference first round series. Philadelphia holds a commanding 3-1 lead as the series returns to Wells Fargo Center, and welcomes back Matisse Thybulle after the third-year wing was ineligible for games in Canada.

In this article:
The Sixers are favoured by 7.5 here despite losing by eight in Toronto on Saturday. The points line is set at 210; Philly is averaging 112.3 per contest in the series, with Toronto down at 104.8. Doc Rivers has seen his Sixers post a 112 offensive rating thus far, which is almost six points better than any team managed in the regular season.
It looks likely that Toronto is without Fred VanVleet for Game 5 after he left Game 4 with a hip issue. Joel Embiid is set to play through torn thumb ligaments, which appeared to hamper his effectiveness at the weekend. The MVP candidate was held to just 21 points and eight boards in 39 minutes, and his points line has dropped to 28.5 for Monday’s contest as a result.

Gary Trent Jr looked like himself in Game 4 after injury issues earlier in the series – the former Blazer dropped 24 and drained three of his 10 threes. Pascal Siakam, who had struggled in the first three games, put up a career playoff-high of 34 points with eight rebounds and five assists.
Thybulle’s return should make scoring more difficult for Siakam on Monday night, but he’s still going to get plenty of shots up and take on a big playmaking role if VanVleet is out. There’s value on the All-NBA contender to hit over 37.5 points, rebounds and assists.
Trent always has a green light, but his role in the offence is even more pronounced when there’s no VanVleet. The 18.5 points line is a little high, though, so let’s play it safe and back Trent to make two threes.

While he’s not been filling the stat sheet, Tobias Harris’ play has been a massive factor in this series. Harris has come on leaps and bounds as a defender, and he’s been incredibly effective on that end throughout this series. He uses his size to alter shots and get into passing lanes. With 10 stocks through four games, Harris to record over 1.5 steals and blocks is worth adding to this bet builder.
Philly scored 102 in Game 4 and 104 in Game 3. Their offence was dominant in their two home games, however, scoring 131 and 112. Motivated to wrap the series up before a potential Game 6 in Toronto, we can expect the hosts to be aggressive from the first tip.
There’s also the small matter of a more favourable whistle for Embiid and James Harden in front of a raucous Philadelphia crowd. Taking Philly to score over 105.5 gets this bet builder to 7.00, but given their offensive numbers in this series, we’re confident enough to go up to 108.5 for 11.00.
