The Suns seem like an unstoppable force since Kevin Durant made his debut. The real test will be tonight again against the Nuggets who are leading the West with a 52-27 record. These two teams faced off last week where the Suns took the win by 100-93, so we are not even in a doubt the Nuggets will try to get back at them tonight.

We are set for a spectacle tonight in Arizona. None of the teams will be missing any star players and it seems both teams have been systematically increasing their form before the playoffs which will bring us a banger. The Suns are on a 6-game winning streak and KD has been averaging over 25 points on a nightly basis. Being able to switch on defence with KD on the floor is another plus for them. They have already been excellent defensively, allowing only 111 points per game to their opponents (4th in the NBA) and only 103.5 in the last 6-game stretch. They are third in opponent assists per game and opponents assist/turnover ratio which gives them a big advantage over the Nuggets who are relying heavily on assisted baskets. For tonight’s game, the Suns will not be having any substantial absences due to injuries.

The Nuggets are comfortably sitting on the top of the West. They’ve faced some ups and downs recently but the hardest hit must’ve been a blowout loss against the worst team in the league, the Rockets. It is safe to say all alarms are going off in Denver and they need a solid performance tonight to regain confidence before the upcoming playoff battles. Although they’ve won 3 out of their last 4 games against the Suns, the team from Texas is a different beast with KD on the floor. The Nuggets will be missing Z. Nnaji due to a knee injury while C. Gillespie is out due to a foot injury.

The Nuggets have secured the first spot in the West but they managed to lose the last 3 out of 4 games. Their approach has not been good and coach M. Malone has stated that after the loss against the Rockets. Although we believe they will pick it up offensively tonight, we don’t see them stopping the Suns’ offensive production which should lead to a comfortable victory for the hosts. N. Jokic has been resting most of the games against the Pelicans and the Rockets as well and it wouldn’t surprise us if it was the case tonight as well.
