The Phoenix Suns are desperate to get back into the series and you can bet Monty Williams’s squad will do everything to make it happen. With the home fans behind them, the Suns will attempt to replicate their offensive output from their first 2 games at Footprint. It won’t be easy, but Kevin Durant and Devin Booker have been phenomenal in this series, averaging 30.8 and 34.6 points per game respectively.
As expected, the Suns’ bench has been problematic, pitching in with just 18.8 points per game – the second-worst output in the playoffs this year. However, as a team they have been solid, ranking 3rd in offensive rating and averaging 115.6 points per game. When playing at Footprint, the Suns are averaging 123.8 points per game and we can expect this to continue against the shaky Nuggets defence.
The Denver Nuggets enjoyed a terrific regular season, finishing top of the heap with a 53-29 record. They dispatched the Timberwolves in 5 games and are now up 3-2 against a very dangerous opponent. Mike Malone’s boys are 2nd in offensive rating during this postseason and are now the top favourites to go all the way at 3.75 odds. Jokic has been on fire this series, averaging a triple double and leading the Nuggets throughout. The Nuggets are also top of the league in net rating this postseason with 6.8 and their squad is healthy and fit to play.
The Suns have played great at home in this series and their offence has delivered both times. The bookies expect them to get the job done with 1.68 odds next to their name. However, the Nuggets have a terrific and free-flowing offence and if they get going, it’s going to be a very close game. We expect both teams to display their offensive capabilities and a high-scoring result at the end.
Odds as of 1:00 pm May 11th 2023. Odds may now differ.
