Scarce NBA program tonight and our minds will be in Arizona where the Suns will host the Clippers in Footprint Center. The Suns, currently sitting at a record of 32W 27L will face off against the 32W 28L Clippers team who are improving their offensive synergy by the day which led them to battle for the top 4 spots in the West.

The Suns are still waiting for K. Durant’s debut, and the rumors say he will be cleared to play after the All-Star break. For tonight’s game, he is OUT. The Suns are going to be a totally different beast with KD, but even now their front-to-back court looks fine. They are scoring 112.5 PPG which is improving by game recently, as they had some horrific shooting splits during the season. Their defence is not lacking either, they are letting their opponents score 110PPG which is slightly above average.
D. Bokker is having a great season by default and is supported by never aging C. Paul who is dishing 9 APG as the main Suns’ facilitator.
For tonight’s game, they will be missing K. Durant as previously mentioned, and K. Payne, and L. Shamet to foot injuries.
The Clippers are improving their form and their offence incrementally during the season. They are a very experienced team that is entering the best form near the playoffs. Their defence could have been more elite, they are letting their opponents score 111PPG which is far behind their desired defensive numbers. They are letting their opponents score 55% effective field goal percentage, and these numbers only go up when we are talking only about away games. Their main facilitators are PG’s that like to have the ball in their hands and like to push it in transition. We will be betting on over tonight as the line seems very low taking into consideration both teams’ offensive potential.
Although a couple of recent games between these opponents went under by default, this streak needs to be broken. Tonight is the perfect timing as the young Suns are playing very well offensively and will also have the support of K. Durant from the crowd where they will be eager to show their full offensive arsenal. The Clippers are a team that is very good at keeping the game balanced and playing score for score, if this happens tonight we are in for a good one.
