Our prediction for the Portland Trail Blazers vs Denver Nuggets game is for the Nuggets to cover the alt -8.5-point spread and for Aaron Gordon to grab at least 7 rebounds.

PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS VS DENVER NUGGETS SAME-GAME PARLAY:

Denver Nuggets -8.5

Denver won both of their games against Portland earlier this month by nine or more points. Yes, it’s the second night of a back-to-back for the defending champions, but Portland is without Shaedon Sharpe, Malcolm Brogdon and Scoot Henderson.

Michael Malone was also able to keep his starters’ minutes to a manageable level thanks to a blowout of the Wizards on Thursday. Denver might not have the best record as a road favourite, but Portland is just 10-11 against the spread as a home dog, and we can’t see them staying close here.

Aaron Gordon over 6.5 rebounds

Aaron Gordon is averaging 6.7 rebounds per game this season. He only grabbed two against the Wizards on Thursday, but that was in just 21 minutes. He had seven the last time he faced these Blazers, and Portland remains one of the league’s worst rebounding teams (bottom eight in rebounding rate this month).

Portland’s opponents have had plenty of success on the glass of late. Jalen Duren grabbed 22, Karl-Anthony Towns had eight, and Rudy Gobert registered double digits.

Gordon doesn’t need to play 35 minutes to hit this over – we like the value play here, even if he’s limited to the high twenties in minutes.
