The 20-18 Sacramento Kings are six-point favourites over the 15-25 for their matchup at Golden 1 Center on Monday night. This is the second clash between the teams this season with the Magic running out overtime victors when they faced-off in early November. It is the second game of a roadtrip for Orlando and the third of a homestand for the Kings.
Jonathan Isaac and Chuma Okeke, long-term absentees, are both out for the Magic. Bol Bol is also sidelined through health and safety protocols. No players appear on the injury report for the Kings.

The Magic have won two of three, beating fellow rebuilders Oklahoma City and a depleted Warriors team. The Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner forward tandem is going from strength to strength, but they are understandably dogs here. Sacramento’s defence is the second worst in the league over the last 10, and they have slumped to 12th in net rating on the season, but they are 11-9 straight up at home and 11-7 against teams below .500.
Comparing the two profiles on offence and defence, the Kings should enjoy a lot of success from beyond the three-point line. They are an elite team when it comes to three-point volume, and Orlando has struggled stopping outside shooters.
Sacramento always plays at a high pace with De’Aaron Fox running the show. Orlando has been up in 12th in pace over the last 10 games. There should be some cheap points at the line for both teams, with each defence having foul difficulties at times, and both ranking in the top 10 in free throw rate. The over has hit in 63.2% of the Kings’ games in 2022-23.
One player primed to take advantage of the Kings’ foul-heavy nature is Banchero. He has passed this points, rebounds and assists line in each of his last three, and dropped 33, 16 and four when these teams met in Florida. His size from the forward spot is a difficult matchup for Sacramento.
With Bol out and the return to fitness for their guards, Orlando’s line ups have become slightly more conventional. Wendell Carter Jr has the size and strength to battle with Domantas Sabonis – the former Pacer has gone under this alternate points line each of the last four.
While there is a huge amount to be excited about with this Magic team, and they have recorded some impressive road wins already this season, the Kings are a more-polished, experienced, and complete team.
Sacramento has lost its last two, both of which were at home, but that doesn’t put us off backing them on the moneyline here to take the Bet Builder to 5.25.
