Sean Strickland vs Alex Pereira Best Bet
Sean Strickland is making his 29th appearance in the octagon this Saturday, and with a record of 25 wins and just 3 losses, he is definitely one of the scariest guys in the division. 10 KO/TKOs, 4 submissions and 11 decisions. With 5.53 strikes landed per minute, and a Significant Strike Defence of 65%, he is undoubtedly a deadly fighter, He hasn’t been using his grappling very much so far, but with a brown belt in BJJ, and a takedown accuracy of 61%, he definitely has that in his arsenal.
Alex Pereira is available at 2.00 to win this one, but I simply don’t see this happening. Alex spent most of his career doing Kickboxing and has only started really doing MMA in the last year. He is heavily striking-oriented and although he has won 4 of his 6 MMA fights by KO/TKO, I don’t believe this will be enough against Strickland. Sean has been focusing on his grappling and takedowns intensively in this training camp, even doing work with Khamzat Chimaev and I believe this will be his tactic in this fight. He will engage in short exchanges on the feet before shooting for takedowns, and this is where he will absolutely dominate the fight.
- Selection: Sean Strickland to Win by KO/TKO/DQ or Submission
- Best Odds: 3.60
- Stakes: 4/10

Robbie Lawler vs Bryan Barberena Best Bet
The former UFC Welterweight champion Robbie Lawler returns to the octagon for the 46th time in his career hoping to capitalise on his latest victory against Nick Diaz. Lawler is known in the division as a fierce striker with no regard for his own safety and someone who can finish a fight in a hurry. He is available at 1.80 odds to win tonight, and a large majority of bettors are backing the ‘Ruthless’ to get the job done. What? No, I’m putting a stop to this. Do you remember him losing 4 fights in a row before the UFC threw a retired Nick Diaz his way so they could save his career for a couple more fights? Well, I do.
Robbie is nothing like the fighter we like to remember and he doesn’t have that killer instinct anymore. It took him 3 rounds to put away a fighter who didn’t want to be there in the first place. He will be facing Bryan Barberiena, a fighter who is 33 years old, with 17 wins and 8 losses, not to mention he is on a 2-fight winning streak. Bryan is looking to revitalize his career with a decisive victory over a huge name in the sport, and this is the perfect time to do it. Did I mention you can find Barberena at 2..02 odds to win? The value is with Barberena in this fight and no matter how much we all love and respect Robbie Lawler, we can’t allow this to cloud our judgment.
- Selection: Bryan Barberena to Win
- Best Odds: 2.02 (Pinnacle)
- Stakes: 8/10

Donald Cerrone vs Jim Miller Best Bet
Do we dare Trust Donald Cerrone in 2022? At 2.65 odds against an equal opponent in the division, I think it’s worth it. We all know Cowboy Cerrone has had a very difficult period in his career recently, losing to Alex Morono, Anthony Pettis, Conor McGregor, Justin Gaethje and Tony Ferguson in the last 3 years. But the UFC loves its big names and there’s a big chance that they gave him this opponent in an attempt to revive his career for another few fights. We all know how deadly his combinations can be, and with 17 career submission wins, he has a solid arsenal of moves. The biggest challenge for him will be surviving the first round, as he usually takes some time to get into fights.
It’s either a first-round KO for Miller or victory for Cowboy, but at 1.53 odds to win and 75% of bettors picking him, betting on Miller doesn’t provide any value. He is 38 years old, and I don’t expect his striking power to translate into the Welterweight division. He is at a physical disadvantage, and unless he can find a way to finish the fight right away, he will lose. The biggest reason behind this is they’re fighting at 170, which suits Cerrone much better than Miller, as he doesn’t have to drop a lot of weight, and e will enjoy a height and 5-centimetre reach advantage. In Cowboy we trust.
- Selection: Donald Cerrone to Win
- Best Odds: 2.65 (Pinnacle)
- Stakes: 4/10
