The Miami Heat host the Denver Nuggets tonight at FTX Arena for Game 4 of the NBA finals. The Heat are down 2-1 in the series but they still have a game at home to bounce back. What can we expect from Game 5 between the Miami Heat vs Denver Nuggets? Will the Heat even out the series before heading to Denver for Game 5 or will the Nuggets get the 3-1 lead?
We’re heading to Bet365 to answer that exact question with a 2-piece Bet Builder at 2.60 odds.
In this article:
The Miami Heat are closing out their 2-game homestand in Game 4 against the Denver Nuggets tonight after a tough loss on Wednesday. It was a completely different story to what we saw in Game 2 and the Heat were never even close to mounting a comeback. The biggest reason was their performance on the offensive end. The Heat shot 11/35 from downtown as well as just 37% from the field. They also got outworked on the glass, losing the rebounding battle by 58-33 and allowing 13 offensive rebounds. This is unacceptable, especially at home and Eric Spoelstra will have to get his guys to buy in on the boards.
The Nuggets have done a great job bouncing back from that close 3-point loss in Game 2 and are once again looking like the team we have gotten used to seeing. Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray had a historic night, netting 30-point triple-doubles and combining for 66 points, 20 assists and 31 rebounds. Cristian Brown also pitched in with a stellar 15-point performance in just 19 minutes of play, and the Nuggets easily cruised to victory.
For the Nuggets, MPJ and KCP are still nowhere to be found, but despite this, their offensive rating was still at 117.2 last game. If these two can get themselves back into rhythm, there will be no stopping them. For the hosts, Jimmy Butler was the top scorer last time out with 28 points, but the rest of the team was mediocre, with only Bam Adebayo and Caleb Martin contributing double-digit points with 22 and 10 respectively.

The great thing about bet builders is that we can have a huge number of selections for a single game. The markets range from the handicap, totals, player points, assists, steals, blocks and even turnovers. Bet365 allows as many as 12 selections for a single builder, and the early payout feature is another great way of providing players with value.
Speaking of value, the Denver Nuggets are available at around 1.63 odds to win this game and the spread is set at just -3.5 points. I understand this is a must-win game for the Miami Heat and the last time we saw the Nuggets coming off a win it was a disaster… However, lightning doesn’t strike the same spot twice and I don’t think it’s realistic this will happen again.
The Heat had an amazing night from downtown in Game 2 whilst the Nuggets shot terribly and they still only won by 3. The Heat will need another miracle to keep the game close. They have played 3 more games this tournament and we can expect fatigue to be a big factor in this game with only 1 day of rest between the games.
The Nuggets are the best offensive team in the league and even with Porter Jr and Caldwell Pope unable to hit the ocean from a boat, they are still rolling. The loss in Game 2 was a much-needed wake-up call and the Nuggets responded with a masterclass performance on the boards and on offence. They are the better overall team and the -3.5 points in the handicap market don’t seem like a big obstacle considering their 15-point win last time out.
The Nuggets also got to 109 points in Game 3, and the bookmakers set their team total to 106.5 for tonight. The Miami Heat always play with great intensity on defence, and they have been so far, keeping the Nuggets to lower shooting percentages and challenging shots.
The bookmakers still expect them to find another gear and somehow keep the NBA’s best offence to fewer than 107 points tonight. The Nuggets have gone over the total points line so in 16 of their 18 games this postseason, we expect this to happen again.
