Aleksandra Krunic had no right getting past Jess Pegula in three sets because the line setters said she couldn’t win at +700! Krunic entered this event ranked 400th in the world, and now she is 2 – 0 playing the underdog role each time. 

Krunic got past Ponchet in her opening round match and was listed as a slight underdog at +115, and today she is listed with odds at +125 looking for another upset in the Netherlands.

Aleksandra has a title in Hertogenbosch from her 2018 run to the trophy, and the 31-year-old Serbian native could use a confidence-building tournament. Last season was one to forget as she only competed in 14 matches and fell to 690th in the WTA rankings.

As Krunic tries to build her game, she has needed three sets to get past each of her first two opponents. I foresee this match as a 3-set affair, and the price at +158 is more than inviting.
