I often talk about fun and interesting matchups in these articles, but in this case, it’s more about the volatility of the players involved than the quality of tennis on offer.
Very little needs to be said regarding the exploits of Bublik – one of the players who has no problem making it known when he lacks motivation – while Zhang has had his fair share of problems closing out matches when he’s led by a set or a set and a break of serve.
When they’re on, however, they can both hit the ball with blistering pace, which should bode well on these courts, which tend to play medium to medium fast in terms of court speed.
With both able to hold serve consistently, along with the ability for each to disappear form-wise within the match for long stretches, I wouldn’t be surprised in the least to see this one turn out to be a rather lengthy affair.
