Amanda Anisimova and Qinwen Zheng have gone as far as they can go in Section 4 of the Main Draw of the China Open, and a US Open rematch brings them together again in Beijing with a spot in the quarterfinals on the line.

Qinwen Zheng is a big favorite with odds at -275 and that line has been rising this morning from a line that opened at -225.

Anisimova has no problem facing the underdog role and the American is regaining confidence after upsetting Daria Kasatkina in the third round.

EJ Garr’s Amanda Anisimova vs. Qinwen Zheng prediction has expectations for a thrilling match that goes the distance so grab his +145 offer below.

Odds updated at 7:00 am UK Time on October 1, 2024.

It’s Ladies Night and the match between Anisimova and Zheng is scheduled to air!

I will be watching this tilt in Beijing and I expect to see another 3 set affair as we did when these two met here in New York at the US Open.

Anisimova was only a +150 underdog in the first meeting but the line setters see this affair as a convincing win for Zheng at -275. That is quite a disrespectful line toward the American who took the first set from Zheng in that NY Clash but couldn’t hold on for the dub.

At +155, Unibet offers the best value I can find on the Over 2.5 sets prop but those lines aren’t out yet at the Major books as I hand this article in. I will assume that Pinnacle will follow suit and put a +150 line on the table for dinner and I am holding my fork and knife ready to eat!

Anisimova defeated Daria Kasatkina for the fifth time in five meetings and Amanda was barely an underdog at +105 against the 11th-ranked 9-seed in this WTA1000 event.

Anisimova had her back against the wall in her opening second-round affair after coming out flat and dropping the first set, 6 – 1.

I have this match going the distance so whatever price you get on the Over 2.5 sets you can put it on the board and enjoy the healthy payout.

AMANDA ANISIMOVA RECENT FORM

Anisimova came within a set of winning the Toronto title but fell short against Jess Pegula in a 3-set finale in Canada.

That would have been Amanda’s first title win since early in the 2022 campaign in Melbourne, Australia.

Amanda is 8 – 3 over the last 11 outings although one of those losses was due to a retirement in Seoul 11 days ago against Tomova.

Anisimova is 16 – 6 on hardcourts this season and has a 20 – 12 record in 2024.

QINWEN ZHENG RECENT FORM

Zheng is ranked 7th on the WTA Tour and is 18 – 2 over the last 20 outings.

Qinwen ran off 11 straight wins on clay en route to the Palermo title along with one other little piece of hardware… An Olympic Gold Medal in Paris!

That led to the North American swing in which Zheng played only 7 matches after a 1 – 1 record in Cincinnati and a 4 – 1 run at the US Open.

Zheng is 19 – 8 on hard courts this year and has a 39 – 14 record in 2024 including a 17 – 4 run on clay.

ANISIMOVA VS ZHENG H2H –  STAT OF THE MATCH

Anisimova and Zheng recently met at the US Open in New York and the Chinese native needed three sets to defeat the American. After dropping the first set, Zheng had to mount a comeback in the early stages of the last Major Tournament of the campaign.
