Bianca Andreescu has been limited to five tournaments in 2024 but the Canadian will take on Linda Noskova in the second round at Wimbledon on Wednesday in London.

Andreescu’s back issues kept her out of action until her first appearance of the season at the French Open, and the line setters are showing her some respect by barely listing her as the underdog in this match against Noskova.

The Czech Republic native has limited experience on the grass in her career, as the 19-year-old has never won back-to-back matches.

EJ Garr’s Bianca Andreescu vs Linda Noskova prediction features odds at +110 which can be found below.

Bianca Andreescu vs Linda Noskova Prediction: A Canadian Resurgence

  • Prediction: Bianca Andreescu Moneyline
  • Best Odds: +110

  • Stakes: 3/10

Odds as of 7:00 am UK Time July 3, 2024. Odds may now differ.

Bianca Andreescu’s 2023 campaign was cut short last August due to injuries, and a nagging back injury has left her out of action for most of 2024. This will be only the fifth tournament appearance of the season for Andreescu but she claims she is back and feeling ready to rock and roll again.

Ironically, the back injury occurred in her native Canada competing in Montreal last August and she looks comfortable on the court again.

An absence of that length can be tricky to navigate because mentally and physically it takes a toll. Staying in game shape while recovering from an injury is difficult, but so far, so good!

Andreescu’s ranking has fallen back to 176th due to the time away from the court and today will be a big test against 26th-ranked Noskova.

Noskova has needed more consistency almost the entire season after getting off to a nice start in January in Brisbane. After reaching the semis in that event, Linda reached the quarters at the Aussie Open, and then her game started to go downhill.

Noskova hasn’t won consecutive outings since February, and she has an 8 – 8 record since the calendar turned to March.

Bianca Andreescu might not be the same player she was in 2019 when she was ranked 5th in the World but she looks in great shape and I expect her to advance past Noskova.

At +110, the value is on the underdog and Andreescu gets to play that role today.

BIANCA ANDREESCU RECENT FORM

Andreescu has only played in 10 matches in 2024, and she has compiled a record of 7 – 3 because of her play on the grass. At 5 – 2, Bianca made a nice run to the final at Hertogenbosch and made quick work of Jaqueline Cristian to open her Wimbledon account.

Bianca’s record on grass is 24 – 17 over her career.

LINDA NOSKOVA RECENT FORM

Noskova was 1 – 3 last season on the grass and the first season she had played an event on the surface in her career.

Since Indian Wells back in March, Linda has not won back-to-back outings. The Czech’s loss to Tomova as a -200 favorite at Bad Homburg was a big disappointment and the effort against Sara Errani wasn’t exactly inspiring in the first round at Wimbledon.

ANDREESCU VS NOSKOVA HTH –  STAT OF THE MATCH

This will be the first meeting between Andreescu and Noskova on any surface.
