A nice three-set win for Bernabe Zapata Miralles, as he extended the tough run of form for Pedro Martinez. It wasn’t the prettiest match, with a boatload of breaks of serve, but it got home and that’s all that matters!
For Tuesday, we’ll stick with the event on the dirt in Buenos Aires, and look into the matchup between Daniel Galan and Camilo Ugo Carabelli.

It’s another day of opposing a player in relatively poor form for me, as I’m happy to back the Argentinian on home soil against Galan.
It’s match number four of the year for Galan, and he’s yet to find a win. More important than that? He’s looked far from his best physically. That isn’t ideal in the best of circumstances. It’s much worse when on a surface that depends on physicality and when playing someone like Ugo Carabelli, a player that rarely misses, loves extending points and is capable of dragging matches out for several hours.
Galan comes into the match with the best shot on the court in his forehand, and he’ll need it to be working really well to avoid being worn down.
The fact he’s retired once this year, lost to Jeremy Chardy – who hadn’t played tennis in about 18 months prior to the Australian Open – and looked really poor in the second set of his match against Tomas Barrios Vera in his lone match on the dirt, however, have me believing he should be a more definitive underdog in most matches against competent opposition.
This pricing remains relatively close simply because Galan has the more impressive clay-court elo rating.
He is the player most likely to break through to 250s and the main tour more regularly, but I’m confident that his lack of form and the fact that he hasn’t looked anywhere near his best to date in 2023.
Odds as at 4:30 am UK Time on February 12th, 2022. Odds may now differ.
