Teammates and good friends will hit Court 1 at Wimbledon on Thursday when Katie Boulter and Harriet Dart play their second-round affair at the third Major Tournament of the campaign.

We can only assume that when the Main Draw was revealed Boulter and Dart knew they would be on a crash course as long as they got out of the first round. Well, here we are and this is the second time these two ladies will square off in a month.

On June 10th at Nottingham, Boulter was listed with similar odds to get past Dart at -325, but Harriet didn’t let that stand in her way. Boulter eventually won the match, but it was quite a duel that needed three sets to decide the victor, and I expect a similar battle to transpire today.

Harriet won the first set in a tie-break and the pressure shifted to a favored Boulter to make the comeback. Boulter won the second frame 6 – 4, and the third set 7 – 5, and a result like that points me to this total.

The first set total at 9.5 has a price of +114 toward the Over, and considering that all three sets went over that number at Nottingham I expect more of the same on Thursday.

After the first set flies over the 9.5, my main play on the total to crush the 21 games follows suit so get those bets in!

KATIE BOULTER RECENT FORM

Katie Boulter put pressure on herself to be in a better position at Wimbledon and that pressure got to her. After her run at Eastbourne was spoiled by Jasmine Paolini, Katie struggled to get past Tatjana Maria in the first round.

A 7 – 6, 7 – 5 result against Maria wasn’t all that convincing but Boulter has played exceptionally well on the grass this year. Katie went on to win the Nottingham title and has an 8 – 2 record on the grass this season.

Boulter has produced five straight campaigns with a winning record on grass although she didn’t compete in 2019 or 2020.

HARRIET DART RECENT FORM

Harriet Dart might be ranked 100th in the world but that will have a lick of an effect on this match. Dart and  Boulter know each other quite well on and off the court and that will level the playing field a bit.

Dart is 20 – 19 overall this season with a 5 – 4 record on the grass, and that followed up a dismal clay swing in which she produced only 3 wins from 10 matches.
