Once again we are sliding down to the ITF in Trnava where Linda Klimovicova will face Destanee Aiava in the quarterfinals of this WTA75 event in Slovakia.

The Czech Republic native, who has represented Poland since 2024, arrives at the match as the underdog against her Australian counterpart.

Linda Klimovicova is making a name for herself after two nice runs in Tunisia to begin the season, and the Czech Republic native is making strides in 2025.

Now a citizen of Poland, Klimovicova is only 20 years old and is no stranger to success at the ITF level since turning pro in 2022.

Klimovicova has earned six ITF titles as a singles player and has enjoyed doubles success with four titles on that side of the ledger.

Klimovicova started the week ranked 204th on the WTA Tour and will likely break into the top 200 with the quarterfinal showing in Trnava. She’s not done here yet, and I expect the 20-year-old to give Destanee Aiava all she can handle today.

After dismantling 6-seeded Talia Gibson in straight sets, Klimovicova sent Nina Vargova home to begin this WTA75 event in Slovenia and picked up win #15 this year.

The line setters aren’t disrespecting the Polska citizen with the lines, and I think that is a sign that we will see a match that goes the distance between Klimovicova and Aiava.

The total is listed at 21.5 games with -110 odds on either side of the action, so games are expected to come. 

Destanee Aiava was the clear favorite against her first two opponents this week, but she was challenged in the opening round against local Veronika Erjavec. Erjavec pushed Aiava to three sets before Aiava earned the win, and I expect a similar type of match from this quarterfinal.
