Louisa Chirico and Katerina Siniakova will meet in the first round of the LiveSport Prague Open on Monday, and the Czech Republic native is a heavy favorite over the American to advance.

Katerina Siniakova enters the tournament as the 2-seed in the bottom bracket of the main draw and should feel right at home in Prague. At -625, the line setters expect an easy win for the Czech but EJ Garr’s Louisa Chirico vs Katerina Siniakova prediction will test that expectation.

Chricio is ranked 225th in the world nearly 200 spots behind 38th-ranked Siniakova, but Ej’s expect a tighter battle than the experts might lead you to believe. Check out his offer with odds at +102 below.

Louisa Chirico vs Katerina Siniakova Prediction: Czech Strongly Favored at Home

  • Prediction: Louisa Chirico +5 Games Handicap
  • Best Odds: +134
  • Bookmaker: Unibet
  • Stakes: 3/10

Odds updated at 7:00 am UK Time July 22, 2024.

When the lines first came out as the main draw was determined, Pinnacle offered -115 on the +6 with Chirico, and I know this because I have it saved in the oddsportal pick center. As I expected, that line didn’t last 6 hours because by Sunday afternoon the +5.5 was on the board and now the +6 is -135.

I try my predictions in the no-juice zone, so now I divert your attention to the +5 for a few reasons.

First of all, how does +134 sound? Let’s not forget who the Mayor of Value City is around here, a name I started using here two years ago when I was doing college football and hoops.

Secondly, I don’t take handicaps hoping a player will just cover a spread because I need to think they can win a match and not just hope they hang around. Chirico getting a handful of games is fine by me, and again I will point out how the rankings mean nothing in the grand scheme of betting on tennis.

Chirico plowed through Camilla Rosetello in the first qualifier which was to be expected, and then she made quick work of Alison Van Uyt Vanck at 2 & 4 to gain entry to the main draw at the Prague Open.

I was going to suggest the +5.5, and that line at +102 is still user-friendly but I don’t think we will need the half-game. Chirico will give Siniakova a battle, and let me tell you how much that +229 to see 3 sets is doing to me, HA!

I hope they go the distance but the +5 at +134 makes the grade as the first play of the week with Chirico to cover the handicap.

LOUISA CHIRICO RECENT FORM

Chirico blasted her first two qualifying opponents in Prague, and her record on clay this season improved to 23 – 15. The American is desperately trying to get back inside the top 200 in the rankings, a place she had been in 2022 (163).

Chirico is competing in her first tour-level main draw this season, and history is not on her side today. Louisa is 1 – 9 since 2017 in her first round of a main draw at this level, and she has only claimed one top-50 win in her career.

KATERINA SINIAKOVA RECENT FORM

Siniakova is only 8 – 4 on clay this year including a run to the Lleida Challenger in Spain in early May.

After exiting Bad Homburg with a hip injury, Katerina played only two matches at Wimbledon before being ousted by Yulia Putintseva and has not played since then.

Siniakova is 3 – 3 on clay since her run to the title in Spain.

CHIRICO VS SINIAKOVA HTH –  STAT OF THE MATCH

Chirico and Siniakova have met once and that was a meeting that took place in 2016 in Tokyo. The Tokyo 2 Challenger battle needed three sets to push Siniakova through, and the final set came down to a tie-break to decide the victor.

The winner of this first-round affair will advance to face the winner of the match between Tara Wurth and Laura Samson in the second round.
