American Ann Li will be the favorite against Spaniard Nuria Parrizas-Diaz in the semifinals on the clay at the Nordea Open.

With the finals in sight, the line setters aren’t giving away Li at -225, and EJ Garr’s Nuria Parrizas-Diaz vs Ann Li prediction features better odds at -115 which you can find below.

Ann Li has been playing inspired tennis having swept all three of her opponents in Bastad, and after taking the Valencia title last month a second trophy on clay this season is in sight.

Parrizas-Diaz entered Sweden ranked 165th in the world, 22 spots behind Li, and she needed three sets in the last two rounds to earn her semifinal spot in this WTA125 Bastad Challenger event.

Nuria Parrizas-Diaz vs Ann Li Prediction: American Favored To Reach Finale

  • Prediction: Ann Li Correct Sets Prop 2 – 0
  • Best Odds: +110
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stakes: 3/10

Odds updated at 7:00 am UK Time on July 12, 2024.

Ann Li didn’t enjoy the trip to London, as Domika Salkova ended the American’s Wimbledon appearance. That will be the last and only grass match Ann Li will play in 2024 but she is okay with that.

Li smashed her way through Valencia before the trip to England, so getting back on clay was just what the Doctor ordered. Expectations have Li plowing past Parrizas-Diaz with ease but the pressure of being the favorite affects everyone in that position.

Ann Li was the underdog against Rebecca Sramkova in the opening round of this WTA125 event. Kamilla Rakhimova was listed as the chalk in the second round of Ann’s run to the semifinal in Sweden.

I will just cut to the chase. Parrizas-Diaz doesn’t have the game to hang around with Li, and I should suggest the Correct Sets 2 – 0 at +110 with a better price than -115 on the handicap.

I just changed my mind and am putting a line through that offer because I like my ROI% and +110 suits me fine to save $25 of vig. I don’t see this as a three-set possible upset brewing for the Spaniard who has not been playing her best tennis lately.

Parrizas-Diaz started her 2024 clay campaign losing nine of the first ten matches, and she currently has the first 3-match win streak since March at Indian Wells. The Spaniard has taken first-set wins in all three of her wins in Bastad, but two of her battles have gone the distance.

Ann Li will advance to the final in straight sets so you can grab the -3.5 games handicap at -115, or jump on my offer on the correct sets prop at +110.

NURIA PARRIZAS-DIAZ RECENT FORM

Parrizas-Diaz couldn’t get out of her way when the clay swing of the WTA season kicked off. After a 1 – 9 start on the dirt, Nuria has fallen to 165 in the rankings with a 6 – 9 record on clay this year.

The Spaniard hasn’t produced a winning record on clay since 2021 when she was 22 – 8 in a season she won 7 tournament titles.

Parrizas-Diaz has one tournament win in 2024 which came at the Canberra Challenger the first week of January.

ANN LI RECENT FORM

Ann Li is 8 – 0 in her last 8 clay affairs including a title run in Valencia and three wins in Bastad.

Lii hasn’t cracked the top 50 since ranking 47th in 2021  but is 19 – 7 on clay this season currently 143rd in the world.

The 24-year-old American is two wins away from earning two tournament wins in the same campaign for the first time in her career.

PARIZZAS-DIAZ VS LI HTH –  STAT OF THE MATCH

Ann Li is 1 – 0 vs Parrizas-Diaz after winning their lone clash at Tenerife, Spain in 2021. Home court advantage failed the Spaniard who won the first set and then fell apart losing in three sets in the round of 16 of the event.
