Well, I blew that call yesterday! Anca Alexia Todoni was playing ping-pong while Olga Danilovc was playing tennis on Tuesday, and that was about as humbling as it gets. At 1 & 1, Danilovic pounded Todoni off the court with an easy win to reach the quarters of the Iasi Open and now she’ll be a big favorite to reach the semis.

I see some books posting odds at -220 on Danilovic to get past Bondar but I don’t think this will be an easy walk in the park for the Serbian native. As impressive as Danilovic looked against Todoni, Bondar knows she can beat Danilovic because she just pulled that feat off a week ago in Budapest. On July 16 these two ladies met in the Round of 16 in Hungary, and Bondar took advantage of the home crowd taking out Danilovic in straight sets, 7 – 6, 6 – 4. Danilovic was a -200 favorite that afternoon despite being ranked 148th in the world but Bondar busted out 7 aces and limited the mistakes to take the dub.

I am counting on that experience in Hungary to help Bondar approach this match, and I will put those +3.5 games in my pocket at -110. Pinnacle isn’t giving Bondar any credit by posting the Over 2.5 Sets prop at +165, and you know I take notice of that. I also noticed that the +4 handicap on Bondar is moving because that price is now only -120 at Pinnacle and it was -137 early this afternoon. 

With that line moving in my favor, I will drop the +4 on Bondar with the marginal juice of -120 even though the +3.5 handicap is even money.

OLGA DANILOVIC RECENT FORM

Danilovic was only on the court for just over an hour in the second-round victory against Todoni on Tuesday afternoon in Prague.

Olga has collected an 18 – 8 record on clay this season and all five of her career wins have come on the dirt. Clay has been the only surface that Danilovic has recorded a winning record and the Serbian native has accumulated a 95 – 45 on the dirt.
