Robin Montgomery and Ekaterina Alexandrova square off at the Libema Open to contest a quarterfinal match on Friday in the Netherlands. Ej’s Robin Montgomery vs Ekaterina Alexandrova prediction features odds at -115 and can be found below.
Alexandrova is defending her back-to-back titles at Hertogenbosch as she carries a 12-match win streak at this event into this quarterfinal clash The only pair of titles Alexandrova has earned in her career on grass have been at the Libema Open, and the odds of her winning the 2024 Tournament come in at +400.
Montgomery is ranked 173rd in the world and has had to pass four tests in Hertogenbosch to earn her quarterfinal bid. The American is listed as the underdog for the first time in this WTA250 event, and her counterpart has been strongly favored in her pair of matches in the Netherlands.

Odds as of 7:00 am UK Time June 14, 2024. Odds may now differ.
Ekaterina Alexandrova seems to enjoy the Danish air, as she carries a 12-match win streak in this WTA250 event with a third consecutive title in sight. No one can ever explain why anyone plays their best in a certain country or event, especially when they are nowhere near what they call home.
Alexandrova is third on the list of futures bets to win her third straight title at Libema, and she has been a strong favorite in the first two matches in which she hasn’t dropped a set. Alexandrova has landed battles with 105th-ranked Roionova and 96th-ranked Bektas, and now she faces 173rd-ranked Robin Montgomery.
Most of us would call that an easy pass to the semifinals, and Alexandrova has odds at -200 to win at Bet365 which points me to the handicap.
I expect Ekaterina to earn another straight-set victory on Friday, and I want to suggest a combo including the handicap option. The -2.5 handicap has odds at -115, but if you tack on the Under 22.5 in a same-game parlay, the odds increase to +148.
I don’t envision Alexandrova struggling with Montgomery, and if you noticed the 2- 0 correct score sets prop is listed at +135. I am a big fan of those plus-money offers when I feel a convincing win is coming, and this is the spot for it.
Montgomery has only competed in four tournaments on grass in her career, her first coming in 2019 at Wimbledon where she won two matches before being ousted by Daria Snigur. In comparison, Alexandrova is 18 – 3 in just the last three grass campaigns, so it is youth against experience today in the Netherlands.
Alexandrova wins in straight sets, so take advantage of it to end the week.
Robin Montgomery is 4 – 0 at Libema after going 4 – 2 on the grass in 2023. Monty didn’t play any grass events from 2020 through 2022 but was 2 – 1 in 2019 in her first visit to Wimbledon.
Montgomery is 23 – 11 in 2024 and has her highest career ranking at 173 this season.
Alexandrova has two titles to defend at the Libema Open and is a big motivation for a woman who needs a big lift to her confidence. Ekaterina’s clay season was a disaster at 1 – 6, so opening the grass season at a familiar place is a perfect way to gain some steam.
This will be the first meeting between Montgomery and Alexandrova on any surface.
