What Is Betfred PickYourPunt?
With so many bookmakers now offering their own request-a-bet style markets, you might be wondering how you can join in with this phenomenon. There are variations in these offers, depending on who you’re betting with. Here, we’ll look at the Betfred PickYourPunt and how Betfred customers can use this new style of betting to enhance their betting experience.
So, Betfred #PickYourPunt gives you the opportunity to pick your own markets and combine them to make one bet. Once you’ve decided which markets you want to bet on, Betfred will price up your selections as a Single bet.
Head to the bookie site to see which events are available to use in conjunction with the Betfred PickYourPunt offer. While some bookmakers only offer football matches to create your own bet, with Betfred other sports are available, depending on the time of the year.
For example, whilst football dominates this offer tab, there are also opportunities to generate your own bets on cricket, American Football and tennis.
You will, though, need a Twitter account to use the Betfred request a bet feature.
Tweet your bet using the PickYourPunt hashtag and then wait for the traders to price it up for you. If your bet is accepted, you’ll receive a message back with the odds stated. Happy with the price? Follow the instructions to place your bet and enter your stake.
There are also Betfred PickYourPunt markets available on the site, so they’re certainly worth checking out before you request your own odds. Select the event you want to bet on and look for the specific tab. If the bet you want is there, click on the odds and place your bet as normal. For major matches, there is usually a huge list of #PickYourPunt markets to choose from.

Betfred PickYourPunt Example
So, fancy a Betfred PickYourPunt bet? Firstly, choose the event you wish to bet on. For purposes of this example, we’re going to use Barcelona v Inter Milan in the Champions League.
As we previously mentioned, it might be worth taking a look at the Betfred #PickYourPunt markets already priced up. Click on the Barcelona v Inter Milan game. You can either select the option from the dropdown menu, though these are usually listed at the top of the event page.
Some markets already priced up include Both Teams To Hit The Woodwork, Inter Milan To Score A Penalty and Either Side To Win and 3 Or More Goals In The Match.
If none of the Betfred request a bet markets take your fancy, it’s easy to create your own. How about Barcelona to hit the woodwork twice and Messi to score twice? Or Inter Milan to miss a penalty and Mauro Icardi to score in both halves?
Once you’ve decided on which markets you’d like to combine, head to your Twitter page. Compose a tweet with your desired bet and send it to @Betfred using the hashtag #PickYourPunt. Once the traders have decided a price, they’ll reply to you with the odds available. Then, it’s up you to whether to take the bet.
Note that Betfred request a bets can be accepted up to five minutes before your selected event. However, it’s advisable to request your odds well in advance of the match to be sure of a response.
What Sports Can You Bet On?
Football dominates the Betfred PickYourPunt calendar, but the beautiful game is not the only sport you can create your own bet with. Each week, Betfred list the upcoming qualifying events which you can view from the PickYourPunt tab.
Amongst the sports available, there are a variety of tennis, American Football, darts and cricket matches to bet on. So, let’s say we seen Sri Lanka v England listed for their One Day International cricket tie. Head to the Cricket tab via the Sports menu and select the match.
The range of current markets available will then be displayed. Click on the drop down menu and hit PickYourPunt to see the latest requests. Choose a market from the list or alternatively head to Twitter to request your own odds.
Occasionally, there may not be any Betfred #PickYourPunt markets listed on the bet page. This could mean nobody has requested specific odds for that match yet, particularly if you’re betting well in advance of the event.
Remember, no matter which sport you’re looking to bet on, use the Betfred #PickYourPunt option well in advance of the event. Whilst Betfred say they can take request a bets up until five minutes before the match starts, it could still take some time for the traders to price up your request.
There are also, on occasion, special PickYourPunt offers available. For example, a recent promotion saw Betfred offer PickYourPunt customers a free bet if they placed a bet on a Premier League match and it lost. Keep your eye on what’s new via the Promotions tab.
What Football Markets Can You Bet On?
The beauty of the Betfred PickYourPunt is you can combine or request any market you wish. So, fancy Sergio Aguero to score twice and hit the woodwork? Or Glenn Murray to score a penalty in a 3-1 Brighton win with over 5 yellow cards in the game? However you want to create your own bet and combine markets, you can request pretty much anything.
Let’s take darts to further illustrate our point. Say Michael van Gerwen is playing Gary Anderson. How about requesting both players hit four 180’s each in a van Gerwen win? If you think it’s a worthwhile bet and it’s not listed in the current markets available for that match, use the Betfred #PickYourPunt hashtag to request your own odds.
Available On In-Play Markets?
There is currently no Betfred PickYourPunt live betting options available. If you want to request your own odds, you will need to this at least five minutes before the start of your chosen event.
The Betfred version of request a bet certainly has its good points. You can create any bet you want, so long as they’re based on the Qualifying Events listed on the site, and request your odds directly from the traders.
Those of you not particularly au faix with social media might find having to use Twitter slightly annoying. Having the ability to request odds directly from the bookmaker site or building your own bet from a vast list of options could make requesting your own odds easier.
There also aren’t any in-play options, which other bookmakers offer as standard.
Having said that, being able to develop your own bet using whichever markets your imagination allows you to is pretty special. If you’re finding it hard to find the markets you want, then PickYourPunt is well worth your time.
