The Chinese Super League acts as the highest form of football competition in China. It was founded a bit late compared to some other professional leagues in the world. In 2004, the former top-tier league in China, the Chinese Jia-A League, was rebranded to become the Chinse Super League that exists today.
Our page acts as your go-to hub for all information regarding the Chinese Super League tips, predictions, and expert insights.
Opposed to some popular European Leagues, the Chinese Super League usually starts in February or March and ends in November or December. However, the format of the league is not so different compared to some other major leagues. There are 16 clubs comprising the league, with each one playing the other club twice, at home and away.
The schedule accounts for eight games per week, 30 matches per club, and 240 games in total for the season. The league also employs a relegation system where two of the lowest clubs drop down to the China League One and are, in turn, substituted with the two best teams from the lower league.
Every football enthusiast will tell you that in order to make a correct Chinese Super League prediction, you have to consult the stats. Knowing the history of the competition is one thing, but having an analytical mind is another and requires a bit of research.
During the most recent season, Hebei was the most efficient club in the league, with an average of 3.91 goals a match. The current champions, the Wuhan Three Towns, are second in efficiency with 3.50 goals a match, followed by Shandong Taishan, which scored 3.41 goals a game.
The home teams usually got the better of the visiting teams, winning 42% of the time. The visitors won on 37% of the occasions, and a draw happened 20% of the time.
On the league level, there were a total of 875 goals scored or 2.86 on average per game. Home teams usually managed 1.54 goals a match, while visitors got to 1.32 goals a game. The efficiency of the league is seen through the fact that 47% of the time both teams scored in a single match.
A very important aspect needed when making the correct Chinese Super League prediction is knowing the players. The league had its renaissance a few years ago when a lot of players from Europe joined the league. While the league has imposed a restriction on foreign players over the years, there are still many famous ones that you have to watch out for.
Here are the players that were the best marksmen in the Chinese Super League in recent years:
| Season | Top Scorer | Goals |

Shanghai Port have successfully, yet again, defended their title, so now they are back-to-back-to-back champions of the CSL. This has helped them rise to joint number two in the all-time list of the number of CSL titles, with 4.
The two top teams will be playing in the AFC Champions League group stage for the next season.
