Ligue 1 Fixtures
With other results working in their favour, PSG are once again back on top of the Ligue 1 table. The defending champions have taken the reins into their hands, and have dropped competitive Monaco into third place.
This week, the Parisians travel to Le Havre to face the home team at the Stade Océane. The defensive Le club does seem like an easy task for Les Parisiens. Can Le Havre’s defence hold against one of the most offensive teams in France? With our Ligue 1 betting tips, you can prepare for this Le Havre vs PSG clash on the 3rd of December.
Nice’s draw against Montpellier has cost them losing the top spot. This week, they will face Nantes away, and hope PSG give them another chance. Can they maintain the single-point difference until the Parisians drop another game? Find out with our Ligue 1 predictions.
Monaco’s unfortunate last few games have seen them drop to third place. In the next round, Les Rouge et Blanc will welcome Montpellier as they seek a chance to rise again. Can they keep a top-three spot, or will they drop even lower? Our Ligue 1 betting tips can help you find out.
Lille have had their ups and downs this season. They are in 4th place and will face Metz at home in the upcoming round. The 5th-ranked Reims welcome Strasbourg at the Stade Auguste-Delaune.
Lens, who had a promising start to the season, have dropped to 6th place. Their next opponent are Lyon, who are in some serious problems this season. This Lens vs Lyon matchup is an excellent chance for points for both teams.
Ligue 1 Transfers
As French Ligue 1 drops from the list of the five strongest leagues, we see numerous players leaving. The most significant changes are expectedly to go down in PSG. Namely, the three biggest stars of the league are either leaving or thinking about leaving.
Starting with the biggest transfer, Messi has left PSG to join the MLS Inter Miami CF. At 36, the Argentinian has decided to join the MLS and enjoy a less competitive environment. This can affect your Ligue 1 predictions and betting tips when it comes to the strongest team in the league.
Following in his footsteps, Neymar and Mbappe are allegedly to leave the club as well. There are rumours of Mbappe joining Real, while Neymar has offers from both the East and West. His options include remaining in Europe, joining the North American League, or the Saudi Pro League.
Even without the three superstars, PSG has made several expensive moves. Les Parisiens brought Manuel Ugarte from Sporting for €60.00m and Lucas Hernandez from PSG for €45.00m. At the same time, Hugo Ekitike and Kang-in Lee have cost PSG a total of €50.5m.
Other notable transfers are Terem Moffi joining Nice, Enzo Le Fee joining Rennes, and Lois Openda leaving Lens. Countless other transfers and rumours are popping up daily. But one of the more significant rumours is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who will likely join Marseille. There are many Ligue 1 predictions regarding transfers but don’t make a bet based on speculations, instead, do your research.
Ligue 1 Favourites and Betting Odds
Our Ligue 1 predictions and betting tips are confirming PSG is the absolute favourite to win yet another domestic title. But the most important piece of business that the Parisians were able to do was to resign Mbappe to a new multi-million deal.
They did quite well to bolster the team competition with two young and exceptional players in Vitinha and Hugo Ekitike. The lower division teams that play in Ligue 1 now are Le Harve and Metz and they don’t seem promising.
The odds for Ligue 1 predictions will be higher on them for most of the games. These two teams are also candidates to be the bottom two teams and get back to the lower division this season, they will have time from August to May to surprise our experts and their betting tips.
Lyon is seen as the biggest threat to PSG and they will be an interesting factor for your Ligue 1 predictions and betting tips. They had a very bad season last term and are looking to get back into contention. The transfer deadline was quite good for them as they were able to bring Corentin Tolisso and Alexandre Lacazette back to the club, both for free.
Marseille should also enter the title picture along with Monaco. While Marseille didn’t strengthen their squad significantly except by making some temporary deals permanent, Monaco was able to bolster their attack with two new names in Takumi Minamino and Breel Embolo.

Ligue 1 Stats
In order to make your Ligue 1 predictions and betting tips better, you should find statistics about the leagues and teams you would bet on. This will increase your chance to win because some tipsters find patterns regarding goals, BTTS, 1×2, etc. Even if PSG is dominating the league, they almost lost the title to Lens which was behind by just 1 point.
France Ligue 1 Goal Stats
For French teams, you can’t expect a lot of goals on average which is the reason why 56% is over 2.5 goals. But, also take into consideration for Ligue 1 predictions that for Angers and PSG it’s 68% and Monaco, Montpellier, Rennes and Troyes are at 63% for over 2.5 goals. Always look at these teams and the odds that will probably be lower because of these stats.
Ligue 1 | 0.5+ | 1.5+ | 2.5+ | 3.5+ | 4.5+ | 5.5+ | BTTS | Team Didn’t Concede | Team Didn’t Score |
Total Goals 90′ | 93.2% | 78.2% | 56.3% | 29.2% | 13.7% | 6.1% | 58.2% | 24.3% | 24.3% |
Half-time Goals | 73.9% | 36.8% | 14.7% | 3.9% | 0.8% | 0.5% | 20.3% | 52.9% | 52.9.% |
First Half and Second Half Stats
Another thing you should take into notice for each France Ligue 1 prediction is the number of goals or advantages of home turf in the first half. French football isn’t popular because of the number of goals they score unless it’s PSG, instead, they are quite familiar for their draws in the first half. As a part of your Ligue 1 tips, check the home advantage of certain teams and if they have the potential to score early.
One of the most interesting things is that in the second half, Paris SG isn’t performing well like Lens, Rennes, and Marseille. This is why stats matter for your betting tips, the goal difference for Lens was +19 but they had more draw games instead of losses like Paris SG.
The home advantage table is the same as the general performance in the second half where Lens and Rennes are going strong. Ligue 1 predictions based on these stats are something that many tipsters are doing.
Ligue 1 Betting Tips and Match Previews
Compared to other top leagues, Ligue 1 predictions and betting tips usually involve fewer goals and more draws during the season. You should take this into notice before even doing the analysis and reading our match previews. We have football tips for other European leagues as well but more importantly, you can find previews for this week’s matches on our league page.
If you need more in-depth football tips with analytics from an expert point of view, our expert insights football tips are the right place. People that are doing the research are very experienced in the French Ligue 1 as well as other top leagues like Bundesliga, Premier League, etc. Another great tip is to find the user with the best Ligue 1 predictions and see what they are looking into when analysing the match.
Ligue 1 Past Winners
As far as trophies go, Paris Saint-Germain has been the dominant force in French football for the last 10 years among all teams. Something that we greatly considered within our Ligue 1 betting tips. Only two teams managed to take the title away from the Parisians in recent history: Lille and Monaco.
Season | Champion |
2022-23 | Paris Saint-Germain |
2021-22 | Paris Saint-Germain |
2020-21 | Lille |
2019-20 | Paris Saint-Germain |
2018-19 | Paris Saint-Germain |
However, when we take a look at the overall ranking, things are much different. There are three sides with the most French title trophies – Olympique Marseille, Paris Saint-Germain, and Saint-Etienne. However, besides Paris Saint-Germain, none of the other two won anything of significance in recent history. Marseille was the only one to win a title in the modern era, which was all the way back in 2009-10. A great advantage of Ligue 1 predictions this season is that the odds will be higher on other teams compared to PSG.
Rank | Club | Winners |
1. | Paris Saint-Germain | 11 |
2. | Olympique Marseille, Saint-Etienne | 10 |
3. | Monaco, Nantes | 8 |
3. | Olympique Lyon | 7 |
5. | Bordeaux, Lille, Reims, Roubaix | 6 |
Ligue 1 Player of the Year and Top Goalscorer
If any Ligue 1 predictions and betting tips were very clear in the past 4 years, it was that Mbappe will be the player of the year, but that might change this year.
Season | Player of the Year | Club |
2022-23 | Kylian Mbappe | PSG |
2021-22 | Kylian Mbappe | PSG |
2020-21 | Kylian Mbappe | PSG |
2018-19 | Kylian Mbappe | PSG |
Considering that Ligue 1 predictions and betting tips don’t always involve a lot of goals, some people think that should relate to the number of goals scored by a single player, but when you have Mbappe in the league, it’s clearly not the case. There were rumours that he won’t stay in France for so long, but those predictions are not correct for now.
Season | Top Goalscorer | Club | Goals |
2022-23 | Kylian Mbappe | PSG | 29 |
2021-22 | Kylian Mbappe | PSG | 28 |
2020-21 | Kylian Mbappe | PSG | 27 |
2019-20 | Kylian Mbappe
Wissam Ben Yedder |
PSG
Monaco |
18 |
2018-19 | Kylian Mbappe | PSG | 33 |
