Liverpool vs Tottenham Prediction - Premier League
We have a Liverpool vs Tottenham preview as the two sides clash for the fourth time this season. Arne Slot’s men have scored ten goals, with Spurs netting four. Entertainment is never too far away when these sides clash.
It could be the day Liverpool are officially crowned Premier League champions. There should be a buzz in the air, and a joyous crowd is likely. This could be the perfect afternoon for Liverpool and Arne Slot as they host a lacklustre Spurs side who occupy 16th. Ange’s men have an important encounter on Thursday night, which will be firmly on their minds.
Liverpool vs Tottenham Prediction: A Title Winning Performance
England, Premier League, Sunday, April 27th, 16:30 (UK)
Arne Slot will win the Premier League in his debut season. That’s some achievement from a man who was a relatively unfamiliar name before his move from Feyenoord in Holland. The Reds boast a 24-7-2 WDL record after 33 matches. Liverpool has the best xG (72.2) figure by a considerable distance and ranks second for xGA (28.5). Liverpool has earned more clean sheets (14) than anyone else, averaged the most SOT (6.3) and created the highest number of big chances (134). They’re worthy champions.
Spurs can count themselves lucky, given that the three sides in the relegation zone have been far below par. Ange’s side were expected to do well before a ball was kicked. No one would’ve thought they’d be 16th with five matches remaining. Only Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton have lost more times than Tottenham’s 18.
Finding an angle supporting the hosts is my preferred angle from a betting perspective. Liverpool are priced as heavy favourites. The soon-to-be Premier League champions are no bigger than 1.25 for an outright win, whilst the Asian Handicap sees them on a -1.75 line. Slot’s side could be crowned champions on Sunday with a win. I’m expecting a party-like atmosphere. The home side are capable of turning it on and putting on a show. Spurs aren’t one to put up a fight. They have a crucial semi-final Europa League showdown with Bodo/Glimt a few days later.
It is a hefty handicap for the Reds to overcome, but I think they have every chance of giving Spurs a beating. Liverpool smacked Ange’s men 4-0 here in February, won 6-3 in the capital over the Christmas period and four in this fixture last term. It’s a side they usually get the better of. I can’t see that changing at Anfield this weekend.
The hosts have a fully fit attack. Mo Salah, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota, and Darwin Nunez may all feature. They’ll want to win in front of the home fans. They’ll be a buzz throughout the city. Arne Slot has seen his side win eight of their 16 Premier League matches by two or more goals at Anfield. Win by two here and will earn a profit. The motivation factor could play a pivotal part. Spurs could rotate, which may work in our favour.

Liverpool vs Tottenham Injuries, Team News and Possible Lineups
Liverpool will be without Joe Gomez and Tyler Morton. The defender hasn’t played since the clash with Plymouth in February. Joe isn’t expected to return until the middle of May. Tyler’s shoulder injury is forcing him from the action.
Heung-Min Son didn’t feature against Forest in midweek. He won’t play a part here, given Spurs’ big clash the following Thursday. The South Korean has scored ten fewer Premier League goals than last term. Radu Dragusin is out for the remainder of the season with a cruciate ligament injury.
Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Alisson; TAA, Konate, VVD, Tsimikas, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Gakpo, Salah, Diaz
Tottenham possible starting lineup:
Vicario; Porro, Danso, Davies, Spence, Sarr, Bentancur, Bergvall, Kulusevski, Tel, Richarlison
