Group C is arguably the toughest group of all this campaign and fixtures don’t get much more challenging than a trip to Munich. Bayern have won both games in the competition so far and have yet to concede a goal. Julian Nagelsmann’s side have beaten the two other teams who will be pushing for a place in the knockout stages. They now face the so-called ‘whipping boys’ who will most likely finish the group without a single point.
The price on offer for a home win is remarkably short, they’re best priced at just 1.06 to beat the current Czech league leaders which just doesn’t offer any value. Plzen are as big as 67.00 to walk away with a shock win and even 12.00 to avoid defeat so it’s clear that there is little faith in the visitors.
Michal Bilek’s side has registered just two shots on goal so far across the opening two matches. They suffered a 5-1 hammering at the Camp Nou then lost 2-0 at home to Inter Milan midway through September in what was a comfortable performance from the Italian giants.
Plzen may look to turn their full attention to their domestic league season. They’ve built a four-point gap over rivals Slavia Prague who won the title by just a single point last time out. The Czech side will know that any chance of avoiding a 4th-placed finish in the group will be a huge ask given the massive gulf in quality between them and the other three sides.

Jamal Musiala has been in terrific form for both Bayern and Germany. He already looks like a world-class player despite being just 19 years of age. He’s scored five times in seven Bundesliga appearances for Bayern this season. He grabbed his side’s second goal in the win over Leverkusen this weekend.
Leroy Sane has an impressive goalscoring record in the Champions League. The 26-year-old scored against Inter and Barcelona in recent weeks and bagged six in 10 appearances in last season’s competition.
As mentioned before, Plzen have not had much joy in attacking areas. It’s just a single shot on goal in either game for them so far. It won’t give them a whole load of confidence and they are ultimately playing for pride this early on. Pavel Bucha will be absent after being dismissed against Inter, he has been a regular starter for Plzen this campaign.
The price at 8.00 seems more than reasonable, it banked in Bayern’s league match on Saturday and they’ll be wanting to claim all three points again in gameweek three as they look to continue to lead the group ahead of Barcelona and Inter Milan.
