The Copa Libertadores quarter-finals kick off this week as we bring you Boca vs Racing bet builder tips in Argentina. Elsewhere in the competition this week, Bolivar hosts Internacional in an intriguing match-up on Tuesday evening.
The match, which kicks off in the early hours of Thursday morning at La Bombonera, should produce fireworks after recent Primera División de Argentina meetings between the two sides.
Bet Builder odds: 4.00

While priced generously on its own and with plenty at stake, don’t be surprised to see both teams find the back of the net. Despite reaching the quarter-finals, Boca has yet to face a candidate worthy of winning the Libertadores – their first biggest test is Racing.
Racing has scored in every single round of the Libertadores – not just narrow victories, either. The Argentine club netted two against Athletico Nacional in Colombia before three in the second leg at home. They were deadly in the groups, too, scoring two away to Aucas, two against Nublense and found the net at the Maracana vs Flamengo.
Fernando Gago doesn’t back down from his 4-3-3 formation, so expect Racing to chase that all-important goal away from home to make the second leg a little easier. However, their reckless approach can lead to defensive errors. Having only kept one clean sheet away from home, Boca will feed off that at La Bombonera, and I think the market has missed how both teams operate.
Another generous addition to this bet builder is for Gonzalo Piovi to take a single shot within 90 minutes. Although a left-back, Piovi takes all free kicks in and around the box, especially since Matias Rojas departed for Corinthians. He managed to score a sublime one against Flamengo in the group stage.
Not only does he take free kicks, but takes penalties – and he scored two against Athletico Nacional in Colombia in the 87th and 94th minute. He’s a cool, composed man from 12 yards, but all we need is a single strike in order to land the second part of the bet builder.
Expect a tough tackling game and plenty of opportunities for Piovi to test Romero in the Boca goal.
A common theme for Racing has been their lack of corners on the road in this competition. You’d expect them to thrive in this area from their 4-3-3 formation – but this hasn’t been the case. At home, it’s a different story, but on the road, they rely on their attacking style through the middle rather than by the bylines.
With an intimidating atmosphere expected at La Bombonera, Racing may sit back and look to hit Boca on the counter for large periods, keeping them away from any potential corners.
Interestingly, Racing haven’t picked up more than six corners at La Bombonera in their last 15 visits – stretching all the way back to 2010.
Racing hasn’t had more than six corners away from home in the Libertadores in 2023, which is why this looks like the banker leg within the bet builder.
