Brazil vs Bolivia Bet Builder Tips: Dominance expected on Diniz’s debut

Brazil -3 Handicap

This is the first time we will witness Diniz Ball for Brazil. The Fluminense manager has guided his team to the semi-finals of the Copa Libertadores, playing some of the most adventurous football worldwide.

Allowing his attacking players the licence to roam free in the opponent’s half will pull Bolivia apart. Bolivia will likely set up with five at the back, but with the likes of Neymar, Martinelli, and Gabriel Jesus to name a few, interchanging, a massacre is highly anticipated.

It’s worth noting Brazil collected 24 points from their eight home matches last qualifiers, scoring 23 goals in the process. The fans are itching to see how Diniz gets on, and he knows he has a huge opportunity to put his name firmly on the map.

It’s currently dark times for Bolivia – who have just seen their two top-flight domestic leagues cancelled due to suspected match-fixing.

The last time these sides met, Brazil breezed past Bolivia with a dominant 5-0 display.

Brazil to win to nil

Since 1993, Bolivia has only ever managed to score in Brazil once – falling to a 3-1 defeat in 1994. They have met four times since, and Bolivia hasn’t only failed to find the back of the net, but they’ve also only hit the target on three occasions.

Brazil had a fantastic qualifying campaign en route to Qatar, more noticeably from a defensive point of view. They only conceded one goal at home – which was scored by Luis Suarez as Brazil defeated Uruguay 4-1.

Diniz will want to impress with his free-flowing football, although he’ll know it’s vitally important not to give Bolivia any opportunity in front of goal. With the likes of PSG’s Marquinhos, Arsenal’s Gabriel and Fluminense’s Nino – they should be just fine.

Brazil Winning After 30 minutes

If we are to see Diniz Ball from the get-go, there’s every chance Brazil will make a statement nice and early in their curtain raiser.

Although Vinicius Junior will be absent due to injury, there’s plenty of attacking quality that should enjoy the fluid positional play against weak opposition.

Gabriel Jesus, Neymar, Rodrygo and Martinelli are all fit and available for the opener in Brazil, and if the floodgates are to open, Diniz will want his early pressure on Bolivia’s backline to pay off.

Bolivia lost seven of their nine matches in the last World Cup qualifiers, conceding 28 goals. They fell behind early against Peru, Uruguay, Argentina, Ecuador and Brazil – so everything points towards an early goal or two.
