We are back with a BTTS early bird acca for you as we look ahead to what promises to be an exciting Saturday of football. We’ve got goal angles across three games in England.
Ipswich are looking to bounce back against Cardiff after their entertaining loss against Leeds. We also head to the National League, where promotion-chasing Hartlepool look set to provide the goals once again. Altrincham’s clash with Bromley also shows a great deal of promise.

England, Championship, Saturday, September 2nd, 15:00 (UK)
Cardiff picked up their first season win last weekend but beat Sheffield Wednesday in South Wales. The Bluebirds lifted spirits by bringing Aaron Ramsay back to the club in the summer, but there has been plenty of cause for concern in the early matches of this season. They take on another newly promoted side this weekend, but Ipswich have loftier ambitions than Wednesday.
The Tractor Boys have looked dangerous under Kieran McKenna. The former Manchester United coach has a growing reputation in the game. He favours a high-pressing approach and likes his side to be dominant in possession. His style worked to devastating effect in League One. This led to several analysts picking them for promotion prior to the start of the season despite being a newly promoted side.
Cardiff matches have seen plenty of goals so far this season. Both teams to score has landed in their five competitive matches. Over this period, Cardiff are scoring 1.6 and conceding 1.8 per game. He may be approaching his final years, but Aaron Ramsay’s quality is still evident, and he is crucial in unlocking the opposition’s defence.
Ipswich’s last match against Leeds saw them suffer their first defeat of the season as they were beaten 4-3. This bet has also landed in three of the last four meetings with Cardiff. Those head-to-heads saw an average of 2.75 goals per game.
England, National League, Saturday, September 2nd, 15:00 (UK)
Altrincham had the fourth-worst defensive record in the National League last season. They conceded 68 goals, but they were incredibly dangerous going forward – it was enough to help them secure a 17th-place finish.
The approach hasn’t changed this season, but attacking output has increased again – Regan Linney, Dior Angus and Chris Conn-Clarke have started the season really well, with 10/12 of the team goals from 6 games. They are currently 6th in the table, four points behind the league leaders.
They host Bromley, who haven’t started probably as well as they’d have hoped but have plenty of quality in their squad, again, going forward. Michael Cheek is and has been their main man at this level for a number of years now, with 17+ goals in the last three seasons. Bromley stumbled when it got to the playoffs last season, but the quality is still well within their ranks, and again, considering Altrincham’s defensive frailties, they are likely to have plenty of chances here.
Both teams to score is priced slightly short here, so we are adding over 2.5 goals to increase the price. This bet landed in the last meeting between these sides.
England, National League, Saturday, September 2nd, 15:00 (UK)
We return to the National League for our final selection. Hartlepool have 12 points after six matches as they aim for promotion after narrowly missing out last season. Emmanuel Dieseruvwe has been lethal at the top of the pitch for Hartlepool, and he comes into this match in fine form. However, Joel Dixon made several high-profile errors in their defeat against Chesterfield last weekend, and he could lose his place here.
They take on a Wealdstone side that sits firmly in mid-table after six matches. They were beaten 3-1 by Aldershot in their last away game, and their defence should struggle to contain Hartlepool here.
Hartlepool won both meetings between these sides last season. They recorded a resounding 7-2 victory on the road and managed a 3-1 win on home turf. They haven’t kept a clean sheet since February, so this one looks primed for goals.
We are backing over 2.5 goals in the match as well, and for both teams to score again here. This bet has landed in all six of Hartlepool’s matches so far this season. There has been an average of 4.33 goals per game over that period.
