Darmstadt vs Bochum: Battle of the Bochum

Germany, Bundesliga, Friday, 3rd November, 19:30 (UK)

There’s only one place to start in the Bundesliga this week, as these relegation candidates lock horns on Friday night. This match features in our Early Bird BTTS, but it also deserves a breakdown in terms of shots. Darmstadt have a two-point lead over Bochum coming into this match, and it promises to be a cracker.

Bochum currently occupy the relegation playoff spot and are still awaiting their first win of the season. They have picked up five points thanks to five draws, but they are taking on the shakiest defence in the league and will have to go for the jugular.

Darmstadt have the highest xGA in the league with 23.29 and are conceding the 2nd most shots in the Bundesliga. Their matches are averaging 29.78 attempts. Torsten Lieberknecht’s side have faced two sides in the bottom five in the league at home. There were 34 and 37 shots in those matches.

Bochum’s matches have seen even more shots, with an average of 31. They have faced just one side in the bottom half of the league on the road thus far, and there were 32 shots in that game.

  • Selection: Over 28.5 Shots In The Match

Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich: Dying for a Klassiker

Germany, Bundesliga, Saturday, 4th November, 17:30 (UK)

The highlight of the Bundesliga weekend is undoubtedly Die Klassiker. Borussia Dortmund are unbeaten so far this season and can overtake Bayern with a win on Saturday. However, Dortmund have failed to win any of their last ten matches against Bayern, losing nine in the process.

Things haven’t gone smoothly for Bayern Munich since replacing Julian Nagelsmann with Thomas Tuchel. They were left shell-shocked when they were dumped out of the DFB Pokal by Saarbrucken in the week. They now face a tricky trip to Dortmund, where defeat could see them drop to 4th place.

Dortmund’s home matches have seen plenty of shots so far this season. This bet has won in four of their five matches at Signal Iduna Park with an average of 27.4 shots per game. Dortmund themselves have had over 17 shots per game across those matches and will be keen to avenge having the title snatched away from them on the final day of last season.

Bayern are averaging 20.56 shots per league match. This is more than any other side in the division. Tuchel will be keen for his team to bounce back after their midweek embarrassment. This bet has landed in three of their four away matches.

  • Selection: Over 26.5 Shots In The Match
  • Best Odds: 1.72
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10

Heidenheim vs Stuttgart: The Voith-Arena is no Heiding Place

Germany, Bundesliga, Sunday, 5th November, 16:30 (UK)

We focus on another of the Bundesliga’s strugglers for our final props bet. Heidenheim have shown fighting spirit, particularly when playing on their home turf, but they look set to battle against the drop for much of the campaign. The team have picked up seven points and are two points above the bottom three.

Stuttgart were relegation candidates last season, but they harbour ambitions of a European place this season. They suffered a setback against Hoffenheim last weekend, but they remain above the likes of Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig in the table.

Heidenheim’s home matches are averaging 29.75 shots per game, and this bet has landed in three of those four. Despite being a newly promoted side, Heidenheim have given it a real go at home and are averaging 15.75 shots at the Voith-Arena.

Three of Stuttgart’s four away matches have seen this bet land, and there has been an average of 27.5 shots per game over that period. Stuttgart are have had the 3rd most attempts in the division.

  • Selection: Over 26.5 Shots In The Match
  • Best Odds: 1.84
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10
