Borussia Dortmund vs Borussia Monchengladbach: Firing Range at Signal Iduna Park
Germany, Bundesliga, Saturday, 25th November, 14:30 (UK)
Edin Terzic’s side have lost ground in the Bundesliga after a string of disappointing results. They have lost their last two Bundesliga matches and dropped points in the last three. They are 10 points behind Bayer Leverkusen at this stage. We’re expecting plenty of goalmouth action here, so this game is featured in our BTTS Acca and our Props Acca.
Monchengladbach have picked up seven points in their last three matches and have started to bounce back from their disastrous start to the season.
Dortmund are averaging 17 shots per game at home. They haven’t been at their brilliant best so far this season, but expect them to show a great deal of attacking impetus as they look to close the gap on the leading pack in the Bundesliga. Terzic’s side managed 34 shots in this fixture last season and even had 20 when they travelled to Monchengladbach.
Borussia Monchengladbach have been conceding the most shots in the Bundesliga this season, with their opponents averaging 17.27. This increases to a whopping 19.6 if we only factor in their five away matches in the league.
Freiburg vs Darmstadt: Freiburg to Pile on the Pressure
Germany, Bundesliga, Saturday, 25th November, 14:30 (UK)
Freiburg have struggled for consistency so far this season, which is something they will have to remedy quickly if they want to live up to the standards they set in the last campaign. They haven’t recorded consecutive wins in the league since the opening two matches and have gone three Bundesliga matches without a win.
Darmstadt are a point above the relegation zone coming into this one. They were highly-fancied to return to the second tier at the end of this season, so they will be reasonably happy with their start. They were beaten 8-0 by Bayern Munich in their last away game.
Christian Streich’s team have only played two sides who are currently in the bottom half of the Bundesliga on home turf. They managed 17 and 23 shots against Bochum and Werder Bremen respectively. They average 16.5 shots across their eight home games in all competitions.
Opponents facing Darmstadt in away league matches average 19.8 shots per game. Eintracht Frankfurt are the only side that has failed to reach the 18-shot mark when hosting Darmstadt and they have had the feast shots in the Bundesliga.
Heidenheim vs Bochum: All Hell to Break Loose in Heidenheim
Germany, Bundesliga, Sunday, 26th November, 14:30 (UK)
This match promises to be a cracker and the stakes are high for these relegation candidates. Just a point separates these sides coming into the weekend and a win for either would see them pull away from the relegation zone. Heidenheim have managed to pick up nine points from their five home matches and will be quietly confident here.
Bochum’s only win so far came against Darmstadt on the road. They have picked up six draws, which is helping them keep their heads above water, but Thomas Letsch will know his side need to start winning games sooner rather than later.
Heindenheim’s home matches have seen plenty of shots. There has been an average of 31 shots per game across their five Bundesliga matches at the Voith-Arena, and this bet has landed in four of those.
Bochum matches have also seen plenty of attempts. Only Monchengladbach’s matches have seen more than the 30.82 average shots per Bochum game. This drops to 27.83 in their away matches, but it’s still above the required mark for this bet.
