Scott Thornton returns with the Bundesliga Props acca and provides all the stats you need for some of this weekend’s best matches in Germany. All of our action takes place on Saturday.

At 2:30 pm, we have Bochum vs Stuttgart and Freiburg vs Hoffenheim. Bochum have been solid at home and welcome a Stuttgart side that are keen to rediscover their best form.

At the same, Freiburg host Hoffenheim. Hopefully, we’ll see a repeat of their thrilling clash from earlier in the season. Rb Leipzig are looking to hand Xabi Alonso’s side their first loss of the season in the late kick-off.

Acca odds: 6.16

Bochum vs Stuttgart: Home Form is Vital

Germany, Bundesliga, Saturday, 20th January, 14:30 (UK)

Bochum are six points clear of the relegation playoff place, which is largely down to their home form. Thomas Letsch’s side have suffered just one defeat in their eight Bundesliga matches. They have picked up eleven points in those games thanks to five draws. However, the fact they are difficult to beat in front of their own fans has been enough for them to keep their heads above water.

Stuttgart suffered defeat in their first game back after the winter break. They have now won just once in their last four league matches. The gap to Borussia Dortmund, who are in 5th and chasing a Champions League spot, has been reduced to just four points.

Bochum’s matches average 30.35 shots per game; more than any other side in the Bundesliga and well above the league average of 27.41. This rises to 33.6 shots in their home matches. This bet has landed in seven of their eight league matches in front of their own fans.

Stuttgart racked up 21 shots on their own in the reverse fixture, but they will likely have to deal with more attacking impetus from Bochum this time around. They managed just four shots in that 5-0 defeat.

Freiburg vs Hoffenheim: A Repeat of the Previous Thriller

Germany, Bundesliga, Saturday, 20th January, 14:30 (UK)

Freiburg’s clash with Hoffenheim promises to be one of the more intriguing clashes in Germany this weekend. The home side are a point above the visitors and both sit just outside the European qualification places. When these sides met in August, Christian Streich’s men won 2-1.

Hoffenheim were decisively beaten by Bayern Munich last weekend. The defeat meant they have won just one of their last eight matches. They will need to return to their early season form to fulfil their European ambitions.

There were a whopping 40 shots in the match in the previous head-to-head between these sides. Freiburg contributed with 18 of those shots and should manage a fair few on home turf. They have averaged 16.6 shots in their last five Bundesliga home matches.

Hoffenheim concede the second most shots in the German top flight, with their opponents averaging 16.29 per game. This climbs to 18.33 in their away matches, with an overall match shot average of 30.33. This bet has won in six of Hoffenheim’s last seven visits to Freiburg, with an average shot tally of 29.57.

RB Leipzig vs Bayer Leverkusen: Leipzig to Take an Aggressive Approach

Germany, Bundesliga, Saturday, 20th January, 17:30 (UK)

RB Leipzig vs Bayer Leverkusen is the pick of the bunch in the Bundesliga this weekend. Marco Rose’s side suffered defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt in their last match. They need to return to winning ways here, with Borussia Dortmund breathing down their necks. Leipzig were beaten 3-2 when they travelled to Leverkusen earlier this season, so we should see an entertaining clash.

Bayer Leverkusen lead the way in the race for the title. Xabi Alonso has got his side playing some impressive football, but this will be a very stern test. Leverkusen are unbeaten in 14 league matches this season. However, they were beaten the last time they visited this ground.

Leipzig have been having plenty of shots at home this season. Marco Rose’s side averaged 18.78 per game at the Red Bull Arena and will need to be at their attacking best to topple Leverkusen.

As you’d expect for a side that are top of the Bundesliga, Leverkusen concede a huge number of shots. However, they have faced the two other sides in the top four (along with themselves and RB Leipzig) on the road, and this bet has won in both of those matches. Stuttgart managed 22 shots, while Bayern had 16.

  • Selection: Over 13.5 Shots for RB Leipzig (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.80
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10
