The Champions League is in the final round of the group stages and there is plenty to play for. The final placements still have to be settled with knockout seeding and Europa League spots up for grabs. Real Madrid have already qualified for the group stages but a win here confirms top spot in Group F. Celtic will finish bottom regardless of the result in Madrid.

The reverse fixture saw the Spanish side win 3-0 at Celtic Park despite an impressive performance from Postecoglou’s men especially in the opening 45 minutes. With Karim Benzema still a doubt for this clash, I’ve taken a fancy to Vinicius Jr in the anytime goalscorer market. He’ll be the main man in the Madrid front line on Wednesday evening.

Given that Celtic have only pride to play for, motivation levels could influence the outcome of the match which should see a comfortable home victory.

Brazilian Vinicius Jr has scored three times in five Champions League matches and six in 12 games in the Spanish top flight. He’s odds against to score in the final group game which seems a decent price.

The 22-year-old has scored in consecutive matches and I’m confident he can continue that tally once again at home against Celtic.

Shakhtar v Leipzig Preview

The other contest in Group F is a big one. Ukrainian outfit Shakhtar need a win to reach the knockout stages but it’s no easy task considering they host a Leipzig side who haven’t tasted defeat in nine consecutive matches.

Backing goals here seems a reasonable play. Shakhtar will need to attack but will be open at the back allowing an in-form Leipzig side the opportunity to end any chance of a shock outcome.

The hosts have scored in all five of their matches in the competition whilst Leipzig have only failed to find the back of the net once. The reverse saw Shakhtar stun the Germans in a 4-1 victory which came totally against the run of play.

An early goal could open this game right up with one side needing to go all out it could become costly at the other end. We could see an entertaining 90 minutes in Warsaw.

Juventus v PSG Preview

It’s been a Champions League campaign to forget for Juventus who have picked up just three points from their opening five matches. Therefore they will not be playing in the knockout stages of the competition.

PSG have qualified. They occupy top spot but things may change on the final day with Benfica waiting in the wings to secure a likely easier draw.

Given the prices, PSG are expected the score at least a couple of goals in Turin but an individual player market looks the best way to tackle this clash. The reverse fixture saw the French club win 2-1 in an evenly contested affair. 23 year-old forward Kylian Mbappe bagged twice early on during that one.

The Frenchman has scored 22 times in 20 appearances for his club this season in all competitions and is leading the way in the Champions League top scorer charts.

He is available to back at a price of 2.25 with bet365 which seems more than fair given his outstanding record this season. He’s bagged six goals already in the Champions League this season and only failed to score in one of the five matches. Mbappe will be wanting to further improve his tally against an underwhelming Juve side.
