We’ve got Champions League double tips this Tuesday wth a look at both matches. Valentine’s Day sees the start of the Champions League knockout stages. Milan and Paris are the venues as Italian champions AC host Tottenham and PSG welcome Bayern Munich in the last 16.

Injuries have robbed us of seeing Kylian Mbappe and Eric Choupo-Moting. But an evening marvelling at the genius of Lionel Messi, the mercurial Neymar, the ruthlessly efficient Joshua Kimmich and the gorgeous Oliver Giroud cannot be scoffed at.

In typical Tottenham fashion, Spurs went from beating Manchester City to getting thumped 4-1 by Leicester, who started the weekend three points above the relegation zone, all within the space of the week.

Perhaps even more costly than that scoreline was the casualties Antonio Conte suffered at the King Power.

Rodrigo Bentancur picked up a season-ending cruciate ligament injury. With Yves Bissouma injured and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg suspended, it leaves the visitors extremely light in the centre of midfield.

AC Milan’s Scudetto defence is not going as well as they would have hoped.

Stefano Pioli’s side are 18 points behind Serie A’s sweethearts Napoli, they sit fifth but only on goal difference, tied on 41 points with Roma and Atalanta.

Rossoneri returned to winning ways on Friday with a victory over Torino.

That extra day’s recovery may prove critical as it could allow both Ismael Bennacer and Fikayo Tomori to recover and return to the starting XI.

With the key injuries to the Spurs, I just cannot see them getting a result at the San Siro on Tuesday.

Milan’s form may have been faltering recently, the win on Friday only their second since the winter break, however, without Lloris or Bentancur I think Spurs leave Italy empty-handed.
