On Wednesday night, Ecuador and Jamaica go head-to-head after losing their respective openers. The hosts are hunting for another victory in our final game which gets underway at 23:00 on Thursday. Our last match is Uruguay vs Bolivia. Marcelo Bielsa has transformed Uruguay and will be hoping to make it six points from six in this one.

Enner Valencia’s sending-off in Ecuador’s first game has put them on the back foot in Group B but there is still time for them to salvage qualification to the knockout stages. La Tri managed to take the lead despite being a man down but eventually lost 2-1. A win here would put them right back into contention.
Jamaica also lost their first game by one goal but they are behind Ecuador on goals scored. They had to settle for very little of the ball against Mexico but still showed plenty of attacking impetus when given the opportunity to counter.
With both teams desperate for a win, we are backing goal kicks here. Ecuador’s last 10 competitive matches have seen 14.8 goal kicks on average. Desperation should kick in if one side is trailing in the latter stages of this game and the lack of quality in midfield means they are likely to adopt a direct approach.
There were 16 goal kicks as Jamaica were beaten 1-0 by Mexico in the opening game of the group. Over 13.5 goal kicks has won in both of Jamaica’s matches where they have been priced over 7.00 on the 1×2 market in 2024.

Panama had the unenviable task of facing Uruguay in their first group game. They were comprehensively beaten but they managed to get on the scoresheet in a 3-1 defeat. Another loss here would see their slim hopes of reaching the knockout stages evaporate.
The pressure was on the United States when they took on Bolivia in front of 48,000 supporters at the AT&T stadium in their opening group game. The hosts are looking to break into South America’s big four ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Uruguay had 20 shots in Panama’s first game. It was the second time that Panama had been priced at odds greater than 65.0 on the 1×2 market since July 2023. They conceded 23 shots in the other.
The USA racked up a total of 20 shots as they beat Bolivia in their first game. They have faced some stern tests in the build-up to this competition and it should serve them well as they take on some of the lesser footballing nations in the Copa America. Gregg Berhalter’s side managed to have 12 attempts in their final game before the tournament against Brazil so 16 looks doable.
South America, Copa America, Friday, 28th June, 02:00 (UK)
Marcelo Bielsa has enjoyed his time as the manager of Uruguay so far. They are second in the South American World Cup qualifiers and his brand of football seems to suit the squad at his disposal. They won their opening match of the tournament against Panama 3-1. A win here would likely see them secure qualification ahead of their match against the hosts.
Bolivia were beaten 2-0 by the USA in their first game. They have now lost their last four and face the prospect of an early exit in this game.
Uruguay, as you’d expect, press extremely high up the pitch under Bielsa. They look to force the opposition to go wide before squeezing the space. This leads to a lot of turnovers and also a lot of throws. Their first match over the tournament saw 41 throws. There were 42 and 53 throws in their warm-up matches.
Bolivia’s opening game also saw plenty of throws with a total count of 50. Their last 10 matches have seen an average of 37 throws but expect an increased count here.
