If we’re going off last week’s result then this game could be over in a flash. City hit Copenhagen for five at the Etihad last week in a game where Pep’s side registered 30 shots to two for the side from Denmark.

It’s been a tricky competition so far for Jacob Neestrup’s side. They’ve yet to score a goal and are ultimately the worst side in the group. Copenhagen have a glimmer of hope of reaching a Europa League spot if a lacklustre Sevilla carry. The pair have equal points so far in the competition.

The addition of Erling Haaland has been a truly remarkable story so far for all involved. The Norwegian is the top scorer in both the Premier League and Champions League and doesn’t look like he’ll be slowing down anytime soon. The 22-year-old has played 12 competitive games since the opening day of the season and has only failed to score in just one clash. The Norwegian international bagged a brace in the opening 45 minutes of the reverse fixture last week before being substituted at the interval.

Domestically Copenhagen have been struggling. They are 7th in the table and eight points behind the league leaders. At home, they have racked up 10 points from six matches but have conceded 18 times in 12 matches. Only three sides have worse defensive stats. It’s a worry for the club after winning the league last term which saw them leak just 19 times across 32 matches.

They now face arguably the best side in the world right now which makes things a whole lot tougher.

The first half in Manchester last week saw City rack up an impressive 18 attempts with 10 of those coming on target. Copenhagen provided absolutely nothing in that same period where it was 3-0 and it was game over by that point.

City should win this easily and will almost guarantee them a 1st place finish with two games still to play. The Danes may have something to prove but realistically, they are miles off the pace.
