England vs Australia Bet Builder Tips, Stats and Player Props

Yep, it’s frustrating; another international break is here, but so is England vs Australia bet builder tips for your consumption. It good be worse, we suppose, though these internationals have a habit of disrupting domestic proceedings as leagues begin to get into full flow.

It’s not always the most enjoyable of experiences when England plays, with encounters against the lesser-ranked nations often becoming a snooze fest given the gulf in quality.

Australia are in town on Friday night. They had a very respectable World Cup in Qatar in 2022. The hosts are huge favourites at Wembley, as expected. We’ve constructed a bet builder here at bettingexpert for this Friday night clash.

Our expert, Tom Winch has a strong-looking bet-builder ahead of this kick-off at Wembley. As always, there are plenty of key stats and facts reinforcing selections.

Bet Builder odds: 4.75

England vs Australia Stats: FIFA’s Current 4th Ranked Nation Welcome The 27th Best At Wembley

  • The last time these nations met was in 2016. England won 2-1 at the Stadium of Light, as Rashford and Rooney scored the host’s goals on the day.
  • Australia scored exactly one goal in each of their four World Cup matches, which came against France, Tunisia, Denmark and Argentina.
  • England have scored a first-half goal in six consecutive matches.
  • Harry Kane has either scored or recorded an assist in each of his nine previous England matches.
  • Garang Kuol, an Australian international, is a Newcastle player who is currently on loan at Volendam in Holland.

England vs Australia: Brilliant Bellingham To Shine As England Expected To Control

Jude Bellingham Anytime Goalscorer

The England squad is riddled with talent. Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice have formed a tremendous partnership despite their age and will be a key part of the nation’s success if there is to be any.

The Real Madrid man has taken La Liga by storm. Bellingham has bagged eight goals from as many matches in the Spanish top flight, three more than any other player. The 20-year-old, it’s crazy to think he’s that young, has bagged in each Champions League outing and, of course, scored in England’s win over Scotland last month.

Jude is 3.00 to score, a price that seems reasonable enough given that England are 1.20 to win and are odds on to score at least three goals on the night. There’s no doubting the superstar’s quality in all areas of the pitch. He’s managed to find the back of the net in nine of his 12 appearances this campaign, a remarkable statistic given he’s not even a forward.

It’s a given that Bellingham will be one of the first names on the England teamsheet for years to come. I can see him becoming the captain once Harry Kane hangs up his boots. He’s a joy to watch, and he will only get better, which is frightening to think.

Australia Under 8.5 Shots

I expect England to control this game with relative ease. We’ve seen in recent times just how little joy the opposition has in terms of possession and shots. In their five Euro Qualifying matches this calendar year, England has faced 15 goal attempts. Scotland had just seven at Hampden Park most recently.

Australia had eight or fewer shots in all four of their World Cup matches, with a lowly four against France, a good indication of what we may expect when these sides meet in the capital. It’s never enjoyable backing a selection where you’re not wanting a decent showing. Achieving nine shots is a big ask for the visitors. I can’t see them having much joy at all and should certainly not get close to that figure.

England Over 0.5 First Half Goals

Gareth Southgate’s men have proven to be relatively fast starters since their elimination from the World Cup. Of their 19 goals in 2023, 13 of those have arrived in the opening 45 minutes, with at least one being scored in all six matches. With a clash with Italy just a few days after this one, the manager will be expected to name a strong side from the first whistle. The quality should prevail and lead to England hitting the back of the net in the first half.

Argentina and France scored in the first half when they met with Australia in Qatar. The visitors played Mexico in September, and their starting XI on that day featured no players currently playing in any of Europe’s top five leagues. Many of the Australian side play their trade in Scotland’s Premiership and The Championship in England.
