Bayer Leverkusen vs Atalanta Best Bet

It rained goals in Bergamo as Atalanta managed a narrow 3-2 win over their German opposition last time out. A brace from Luis Muriel proved to be the difference but the tie is far from decided.

Both sides are similar in their approach, in the fact that they both have a natural attacking pattern of play. A one-goal lead is still too narrow to conclude on anything and both sides know they will need to score early to put the tie in their favour.

Predicting an outright winner here would be difficult but both sides could well partake in a game with a good potential for goals.

I am expecting a similar approach to the first leg with both sides scoring at least once and the overall result seeing at least three goals after 90 minutes.

Galatasaray vs Barcelona Best Bet

Given Barcelona’s recent scoring form, many, including myself, were left disappointed with how the first leg turned out.

Predicting a goalless draw beforehand would have seemed off, given that the Catalans had scored four goals alone in three out of their four games prior to the first leg. Surprisingly, the game ended in a drab draw that more or less means anything is possible in the return fixture.

At the weekend though, Barcelona put four past Osasuna once again and it is tempting to go with the goal market still. However, I am opting for another conservative low-scoring game here and I can see Barcelona winning to nil most likely.

Compared to the early season, the Catalans have slowly improved defensively under Xavi Hernandez. They have conceded just one goal in their last four outings across all competitions.

Crvena Zvezda vs Rangers Best Bet

This tie is expected to go one-way and I am backing that to happen. After putting three past the Serbian outfit last time out, they are all but into the last eight of the competition.

Rangers followed up that result with yet another 3-0 victory over Dundee United at the weekend. Coming into the second leg, van Bronckhorst’s side will play without pressure and I can see them scoring at least two goals once again.

There is a tempting value to back Rangers to put in the goals and there is no reason to think they can’t make that happen.
