Goodison Park is the destination for the late afternoon kick-off on Super Sunday. It’s Arsenal vs Everton in what’s expected to be an interesting Premier League clash. The hosts have started the season poorly with just a single point whilst Arteta’s men have recorded ten points from a possible 12.
The two sides have started their seasons in completely different ways. Things didn’t go to plan for Arteta here last season. Do we have another upset on the cards?
Tom Winch has constructed a strong-looking bet builder for this clash here at bettingexpert with plenty of suitable stats and figures supporting the selections.
Bet Builder odds: 4.50

Sean Dyche’s men have recorded very impressive corner counts this campaign. They had ten here on the opening day, six at Villa Park, seven against Wolves and a further six at Bramall Lane. They’ll target set pieces and will look to cause Arsenal plenty of problems in the air.
We saw last season in Dyche’s first game in charge that they looked to go direct and force long balls into the box. Everton managed seven corners that afternoon, with one of those resulting in a James Tarkowski header, which was enough for all three points.
The pressure isn’t exactly on Everton and Dyche just yet, but they’ll be desperate to record a positive result here. We know just how much the home fans get behind their team at Goodison, which will provide plenty of belief for those players wearing blue. Hitting four corners isn’t a massive ask. It’ll most likely be their prime objective, given their height.
It just wouldn’t be right if we didn’t include Mr Tarkowski, would it? I mean, he’s a regular threat in this Everton side, and he was the difference-maker in this fixture last season. The Manchester-born central defender is as big as 20/1 to score once again.
Tarks recorded shots in each of the opening three league games of the campaign. He blanked in game week four in Sheffield.
At home, Tarkowski’s shot record is pretty remarkable. In 2023, the England international has had at least one shot in 11 of his 13 appearances.
With his strong stats, I’m more than happy to add that to the bet builder. You could do a lot worse than back him for a shot as a single alone this weekend, as the 1.80 odds provide a nice chunk of value.
Bukayo Saka is a superstar; he’s just a joy to watch every time he steps onto the pitch, and I want to get him involved with the bet builder.
The Englishman has accumulated 12 shots so far this season. Interestingly, he’s racked up exactly three shots in every game. Saka has managed five shots on target this campaign, with at least one arriving in three games from four.
It’s clear that Everton have defensive incapabilities. They’re a side who have struggled for a lengthy period and failed to really improve the squad over the summer. The Toffees have conceded 19 shots on target this campaign, and most recently, they allowed eight against Sheffield United.
Saka is a guaranteed starter in this Arsenal side. He’s endured the entire 90 three times and was substituted on 88 minutes in their narrow win at Crystal Palace. The more minutes he plays, the more chance he has to get this part of the bet builder selection ticked off, and I’m confident he can deliver for us here.
