Friday night sees the start of the Championship season along with other European leagues entering the early stages of the season. Here at bettingexpert News we have selected and previewed our three favourite bets in England, Denmark and Switzerland.
In this article:
England, Championship, Friday, July 29th, 20:00 (UK)
Burnley fans won’t be used to things heading into the new season. Playing in the Championship for the first time in a number of years and a new man in the dugout in Vincent Kompany who has been rather busy in the transfer window.
Huddersfield have seen two standout players from last season move up into the top flight with Nottingham Forest in Harry Toffolo and Lewis O’Brien with former boss Carlos Corberan also departing in what was a huge shock.
Scott Twine has been the standout purchase for the Clarets, the 23-year-old netted 20 times and registered 13 assists for MK Dons in the previous campaign and has already scored for his new side in pre-season.
Burnley have been backed to have a good season and there is little reason to disagree with that. They have brought in good additions and with Kompany’s defensive expertise, the players should learn plenty from the Belgian.
The visitors are priced up at 1.85 for the draw no bet angle which seems a nice way in.
With Huddersfield losing each of their last four opening home league matches in recent seasons Burnley can quite easily walk away from John Smith’s Stadium with a good result if they perform to a good enough standard.

Denmark, Superliga, Friday, July 29th, 18:00 (UK)
Both of these sides have struggled in the early stages of the season and have yet to claim their first wins. Odense most recently drew 2-2 on the road whilst Bo Henriksen’s side were beaten 3-1 by Silkeborg at the MCH Arena in Herning.
This fixture last season finished with four goals with the reverse ending with three as both sides scored in each fixture. During pre-season these sides met and five goals were scored in a 3-2 win for Midtjylland. It’s expected to be another shootout come Friday night as it’s evident neither side can remain switched on at the back.
Goals look the way forward here as both sides will be confident of getting themselves on the scoresheet as they both look for their first three points of the new season. The visitors do arrive here as favourites however they have not won a competitive game inside 90 minutes in five consecutive matches.
With both matches last season in the league seeing this selection land, I am hopeful we will see a flurry of goals at the Nature Energy Park in Odense.

Switzerland, Challenge League, Friday, July 27th, 19:15 (UK)
Heading to Switzerland with my third selection as Aarau host Lausanne Sports in a goal-friendly Swiss Challenge League. Goals are on the agenda once again as the last time these sides met it ended with nine goals as Aarau took all three points in a 5-4 victory.
So far in the opening two league games, Aarau has seen this selection land on both occasions with a 50% strike rate for the visitors. Lausanne finished rock bottom of the Super League last season whilst Aarau finished third in the second tier.
The Switzerland Challenge League is always a great place to head in terms of goals and with each club picking up a win in their most recent match it’ll provide confidence heading to Stadion Brugglifeld on Friday night.
Both teams to score is available to back at around 1.57 but adding a goal to be scored within the opening 45 minutes brings the price up to a much more appealing 1.86. The numbers early on in the season suggest this angle should not be too far away.

A football acca is an accumulator bet, a type of bet that consists of several selections across different matches that are combined together into one single bet. An acca usually. consists of at least four selections but many more can be included. There will be odds for the single bet as a whole which is calculated by multiplying the odds of all of the selections. A football acca is one of the most popular ways to bet. This is the case because they can create potentially massive odds for a small stake. Many punters choose to create football accas which is what we have created here. If one of these selections loses then the football acca will lose. This type of bet needs every selection to win in order to succeed.
