The Friday night fixtures treated us very well last week. All three bets landed producing a juicy 21.16 winning Acca. I am aiming to repeat the trick with another three selections from the player markets. Action from Germany, Spain and England fall under the spotlight.

Dortmund vs Hoffenheim Preview

Dortmund host Hoffenheim with both sides locked side by side in the embryonic Bundesliga table. Each club has nine points on the board following three wins and a loss with a goal difference of +3. The two meetings were action-packed last season with both resulting in five-goal thrillers. BVB doing the double over TSG for the first time ever.

Managers Edin Terzić and André Breitenreiter have already seen their teams involved in similar encounters this term. Die Schwarzgelben suffered an incredible 2-3 loss to Werder Bremen in their previous Bundesliga home fixture. Surrendering a two-goal lead with 89 minutes on the clock. Hoffenheim in contrast recovered from an early 2-0 deficit to defeat Bochum.

Thus allowing Bellingham to bomb forward and contribute more to the attack. As a result, he has had a shot on target in three of his four league appearances so far. His total of four is the highest within the squad.

Celta Vigo vs Cadiz Preview

This looks like the perfect opportunity to get a first home win of the season for Vigo. Eduardo Coudet’s men started the campaign with back-to-back games at Estadio de Balaídos. Having picked up just one point it was a relief to claim all three points last time out. A 1-0 win in Girona courtesy of their talisman Iago Aspas.

I watched Cadiz get thumped 4-0 at home to Athletic Bilbao on Monday. A third successive defeat to start their season in the worst possible fashion. Not only yet to register a point, but Los Piratas are also still searching for their first goal. It is bad enough to have made their worst start to a Spanish top flight campaign in 34 years. Showing little sign of attacking threat is of greater concern. Another relegation battle looks on the cards.

Celta Vigo vs Cadiz Best Bet

Iñaki Williams opened the scoring on Monday but also missed from the penalty spot. Firing in five shots before injury forced him off after 54 minutes. His replacement Gorka Guruzeta scored twice. This will have Iago Aspas licking his lips. The veteran has scored three of Celta’s four league goals this term. We cashed our bet on him last Friday. There is no reason not to go in again albeit at slightly reduced odds.

West Brom vs Burnley Preview

Two of the ante-post title favourites collide at the Hawthorns. The visitors will have the chance to go top of the table should they claim all three points. The Baggies will be looking to improve on their mid-table position. A position they find themselves in due to drawing five of the opening seven fixtures. Steve Bruce may consider the first goal to be crucial here. His side has won on the only occasion where they have opened the scoring.

Vincent Kompany has seen his side respond well since blowing a two-goal lead twice at home to Blackpool. Going on to record successive victories over Wigan and Millwall. The former a resounding 5-1 success in their last away game. Josh Brownhill scored twice for the Clarets that day. It is he who has my attention for this final bet.

West Brom vs Burnley Best Bet

Brownhill is revelling in his different role within the new Kompany regime. He is part of a midfield three containing Jack Cork and Josh Cullen. The 26-year-old has been given instruction to play slightly more advanced. Coming into this season he had registered two goals from his 78 Burnley league appearances. Both of which came in the second half of last campaign. In the seven games since he has tripled that total. Eighteen shots of which ten on target have produced four goals. He has only failed to record a shot on target in one of those seven games.
