Despite a fairly quiet Friday night in terms of football action, there are still a handful of fixtures that look appealing on the betting front. I’ve selected and previewed my three favourite bets for bettingexpert News as we travel to both Ireland and Brazil’s second tiers.

Friday Night Football Acca: July 8th

  • Waterford vs Wexford: BTTS – Yes (1.80)
  • Galway vs Cobh Ramblers: Galway Win To Nil (2.00)
  • Villa Nova vs Bahia: Under 1.75 Goals (2.03)

Friday Night Football Acca: Treble Odds: 7.31

Waterford vs Wexford Best Bet

Ireland Division 1, Friday 8th July, 19:45 (UK Time)

Heading to Ireland on Friday evening as Waterford host Wexford in Division 1, both sides have been in good goalscoring form and I’m hoping they can replicate what happened when they played this fixture earlier in the season.

The hosts are 3rd in the table, they’ve accumulated 38 points in 19 matches, scoring 41 and conceding 19 in total and have managed to find the back of the net in eight home games from nine.

Wexford sit in 5th and are on track to finish the season in a possible promotion place, they have scored in nine of their 10 recent matches and are the third most in-form side in the league.

Goals look the best bet here for both sides at the Regional Sports Centre and for both sides to register a goal is available to back at 1.83.

When these sides last met here in March the game ended 2-1 which saw all three goals arrive before the break and with either side’s strong run of form there’s no reason why goals will be scarce in Waterford.

  • Selection: BTTS – Yes
  • Best Odds: 1.83 (bet365)
  • Stakes: 8/10

Galway vs Cobh Ramblers Best Bet

Ireland Division 1, Friday 8th July, 19:45 (UK Time)

Once again we’re heading to Ireland’s Division 1 as 8th-placed Cobh Ramblers head to Galway in what has been a one-sided fixture in recent meetings.

These sides have played five times in the league since May last year and on each occasion, Galway have won with all of their victories coming to nil.

The hosts are second in the table but boast the best home record in the league, they have scored 14 and conceded just five in 10 home matches.

Cobh are on a horrendous run of form, winless in 10 consecutive games and have failed to score in each of the last three, they have managed just five points on the road in 10 outings.

Already this campaign Galway have won this exact fixture by a goal to nil, meanwhile, they hit Cobh for four in early May so it’s clear that the gulf in class is pretty strong.

Galway are battling it out at the top of the table with Cork for a single automatic promotion place so will know this is a must-win game and will be looking to continue an impressive streak over their opponents at Terryland Park come Friday night.

  • Selection: Galway Win To Nil
  • Best Odds: 2.00 (William Hill)
  • Stakes: 8/10

Vila Nova vs Bahia Best Bet

Brazil Serie B, Friday 8th July, 23:00 (UK Time)

My third selection is in Brazil as Vila Nova welcome Bahia to the Estádio Onésio Brasileiro Alvarenga in what sets up to be a low-scoring affair.

The hosts have played eight times at home this season, just eight goals have been scored with four games ending goalless.

Bahia themselves have been involved in plenty of low-scoring matches on the road, in their seven trips, just nine goals have been scored in total with no more than two being scored in any match.

Despite these sides being in different leagues last season they still managed to draw each other in the Copa Do Brasil which saw both games end with a single goal.

It’s clear that getting onside with the unders is the way to go in terms of a betting angle on Friday night, the Under 1.75 Asian Goal Line seems a nice way in.

In the 15 games combined these sides have played at home and away respectively this bet hasn’t actually fully lost, Vila Nova has seen it win in four games from eight meanwhile for Bahia it has won in five from seven.

If there were to be zero or one goals in the match we would walk away with a full payout. If the game ended with two goals we would lose half of our stake and if the game saw three or more goals then the bet would lose.

  • Stakes: 8/10

WHAT IS A FOOTBALL ACCA?

A  football acca is an accumulator bet, a type of bet that consists of several selections across different matches that are combined together into one single bet. An acca usually. consists of at least four selections but many more can be included. There will be odds for the single bet as a whole which is calculated by multiplying the odds of all of the selections. A football acca is one of the most popular ways to bet. This is the case because they can create potentially massive odds for a small stake. Many punters choose to create football accas which is what we have created here. If one of these selections loses then the football acca will lose. This type of bet needs every selection to win in order to succeed.
