Both these sides got off to the perfect start on Match Day 1. Pep Guardiola’s side travelled to Sevilla and ruthlessly dispatched the home side 4-0. For Dortmund, this is a record seventh consecutive UCL campaign. Beginning it with a convincing 3-0 win over FC Copenhagen.

A win for the English champions here will certainly put them in the driving seat of Group C. A 100% record heading into back-to-back fixtures with the weakest team in the section. Knowing that Sevilla and/or Dortmund will drop more points across their own doubleheader.

These two sides last met at the quarter-final stage of this competition in 2020/21. City winning both legs by the same 2-1 scoreline. Those hoping for Die Schwarzgelben’s success will look for a repeat of the 2012/13 group stages. Taking a 1-1 draw back to Germany before registering a 1-0 success at Signal Iduna Park.

Winning all of their last three opening home fixtures by two goals twice and by three last term. Under the legendary Spaniard, they have won four of their five opening home games in this competition by at least two goals. An aggregate scoreline of 18-6 illustrates their dominance at this stage of the competition.

Not the most unpredictable or spectacular bet builder. But one that is incredibly solid and close to doubles your stake.
