Fiorentina vs Roma Best Bet

Heading to Italy with my first selection as Fiorentina host Jose Mourinho’s Roma in Florence, a bet builder approach takes my fancy in this clash that has banked in seven of the last eight meetings between the sides.

There’s no denying how often cards are shown when these two teams are in action, across the 17 home and away matches respectively there has been on average 5.35 cards per game at the Stadio Artemio Franchi and a staggering 5.88 per 90 on Roma’s travels.

The hosts have scored 34 times at home this campaign which has seen them score in 15 separate occasions, they have been cautioned by the referee after the break in 14 games from 17.

Roma have also scored in 15 separate away games this campaign whilst conceding in 13 different matches. They have an immaculate card statistic this season which has seen at least one player receive a booking in the second half. 16 of their 17 opponents have also forced the referee to brandish a card in the latter stages of the game.

With the visitors only three points ahead of Vincenzo Italiano’s men this game could be a thrilling watch, the card angle almost seems as if it’s a given and with either side fighting for a place in Europe next year neither team will want to walk away empty-handed.

U. San Martin vs A. Lima Best Bet

Peru, Primeira Division, Monday May 9th, 21:30 (UK Time)

Off to South America with my next bet as U. San Martin hosts A. Lima in the Peruvian top flight at 21:30.

A continent where goals aren’t typically expected to often but I’m happy to go against that on Monday night given the very reasonable odds. BTTS is available at 2.10 for this clash at Estadio San Martin de Porres which looks a good way in.

The home side are the underdogs according to the bookmakers and are priced up at 5.00 to win the match with A. Lima as short as 1.57 for all three points. U. San Martin have scored in five separate matches from six at home this campaign whilst conceding in four.

Alianza Lima are 9th in a 19-team league, they have scored in three games from five on the road this campaign keeping just a single clean sheet, it’s tricky to understand why they are such strong favourites as the away side.

With the price of both sides scoring at odds against it seems an angle to get stuck into, three of the last five fixtures between these clubs have seen BTTS bank. Lima have seen BTTS land in all six of their recent matches in all competitions with half of those arriving in the league.

Antalyaspor vs Konyaspor Best Bets

Turkey, Super Lig, Monday May 9th, 18:00 (UK Time)

3rd-placed Konyaspor visit ninth place Antalyaspor in Turkey with three games left in the season, the visitors have a chance of clinching the runner up spot whilst Nuri Sahin’s side are right in the middle of the pack despite a good run of form.

H2H games between these sides have been extremely dull, three of the previous four have ended goalless and the most recent ending in a 1-0 win for Konyaspor in December. Given each side’s impressive form of entertaining matches, a goals angle looks the best bet.

All of the last seven league games for Konyaspor have seen over 2.50 match goals with both sides scoring on six occasions. Antalyaspor have had six consecutive league games where both teams have found the back of the net, with five of those games seeing three-plus goals.

BTTS is available at 1.66 with the over 2.50 match goal market on offer at 1.80. Combining the two selections brings the price up to a very appealing 2.10 which will be my third selection on Monday night.

With each side in an excellent goal-scoring form, it’s difficult to see it come to an abrupt end at the Antalya Stadyumu despite the unfavourable recent clashes between the sides.
