Napoli have made an unbeaten start to the season, and they are two points behind the leaders in Serie A. They will feel this is a great opportunity to take points off the favourites for the group. An early win over Liverpool could set the tone for a successful campaign.

These two teams met in the group stages in 2019. Napoli beat Liverpool 2-0 in Italy on that occasion. That positive result should serve as motivation for this Napoli side who look set for a strong season on both the domestic and European fronts.

Liverpool have failed to win any of their league away games so far. They drew away to both Fulham and Everton, and they were beaten by Manchester United on the road. Klopp knows that performing away from home will be pivotal to any success his team may have in this competition, so I’m expecting a response from the visitors.
